Winning entry for my club's "Creative" competition - thanks to my daughter who got just the right expression etc, I think.
Spent the day at Islands of Adventure capturing the expressions of people on the water rides. Always love seeing the joy or shock of the riders as they travel around the course........Hope you enjoy too!

we have gotten down to the nitty-gritty (and I hate that expression).
it's now 5:30 a.m. we decided this would be a good time to pull out
the donkey konga, the world's funnest (yes, I said it!) game, ever!
it's pure silly fun, which is why it's so fantastic.
I have yet to meet a person who has a bad time playing donkey konga.
we paid no attention to the passed out people amongst us, and they
were none the wiser! :)
Kuidaore Taro, first name Taro, is a life sized doll of a young teenager in a clown costume playing a drum and symbol. It has been in Osaka since 1950. He was originally brought to the Cui-daore restaurant as a gimmick to bring more customers into the shop. Kuidaore is a Japanese expression to say that you are eating too much. The nuance of the expression kuidaore also includes gluttony and eating just for the sake of eating something. In 2008, the restaurant folded and the CEO of Cui-daore decided to take a vacation with Kuidaore. The CEO took Kuidaore on a trip throughout Japan that lasted nearly a year before Kuidaore was put back to work. Wherever you go in Osaka, you are bound to see Kuidaore. He is now on display in Dotonbori just a block or so away from the original restaurant. He is a huge icon of Osaka.
On thursday night we headed over to dublin to take part in the Heineken Expressions event at the Tripod club. It was a hugely fun night and there was some awesome work going on :D:D

Painted live during the Affordable Art Fair in Brussels
With this expression on his face, I should have known that somebody was coming along the way. Nevertheless, I was surprised when the old man and his dog suddenly stood behind me. As always when we meet, he asked me, whether the two dogs get along well. He doesn't remember that we and our dogs have known each other for more than a year. He forgets that we talk at least twice a week. So sad.
