Cold Shoulder in both meanings of the expression. These two sculptures have their backs turned giving each other the cold shoulder while the angel has a mantle of snow covering her shoulders and along her arm.

Sundance is usually cooperative when it is time to pose for a photo and gives the camera his signature expression.

"Think I'm In Love" by Eddie Money"
I think I'm in love
And my life's lookin' up
I think I'm in love
'Cause I can't get enough (no, no, no)
I think I'm in love
It's gotta be love

C'était, dans la nuit brune,
Sur le clocher jauni,
La lune,
Comme un point sur un i .
Lune , quel esprit sombre
Promène au bout d' un fil ,
Dans l' ombre ,
Ta face et ton profil ?
Es-tu l’œil du ciel borgne ?
Quel chérubin cafard
Nous logne
Sous ton masque blafard ?

This week's challenge was a dreamscape. I photographed the pumpkins and then photographed myself with a couple of expressions and found some graphics for the little eyes. So, this is just for fun and to keep up with the week's challenge.
I heard from a few friends recently about their new year’s resolutions. Quite frankly, I never believed in that. Why does one has to wait for a specific date to make a resolution? For me, the end of a year has always been a time to reflect about the year that passed and draw conclusions. I once wrote on a contact’s stream that ‘if the pandemic has taught us anything is to be kinder to each other’. Saying it was perhaps too naïve. Instead, I should have written that if the pandemic has taught us anything is how we endure and react during challenging times. It is during such times that show more than anything else, who we really are.
So, let’s raise a glass to 2022, a year to create more memories, have more trips, and discover new places. I’ll drink to that!

Zhong Kui (钟馗) is a Taoist deity considered the vanquisher of evil ghosts. He has a long black beard, bulging eyes, and an angry expression. According to legend, he took the imperial examination to obtain a civil service position. He was very wise and righteous, but although he achieved the highest score on the exam, he was rejected because of his ugliness and committed suicide. Upon learning of this, the emperor granted him the red uniform of a civil servant and ordered that he be buried with honors, as he had indeed obtained the highest score on the imperial examination. Later, the emperor, who had become very ill and incurable, dreamed one night that a large, ugly man captured and ate the ghost that was causing the emperor's illness, and upon waking, he found himself miraculously recovered. In the dream, the hideous man told him his name was Zhong Kui. The emperor then ordered that a painting be made of him as he had seen in his dream and that the painting be hung in the palace to ward off all evil spirits. From then on, the people also began to hang images of Zhong Kui in their homes, and Taoism accepted him as the god who vanquishes evil spirits.
