This was once a great location for street art but, as is the case elsewhere in the city, the quality has declined over the last few years.
The built environment in Dublin is changing faster than I can photograph the changes and there is an area on South Richmond Street that has caught me by surprise as many of the restaurants and shops have closed or disappeared.
Richmond Villas [now shown as Richmond Street South on Google Maps] was a place to visit if you were interested in Street Art but now it is dominated by a huge construction site [Charlemont Square where Amazon will be located] and I assume that the laneway will no longer exist once the building project has been completed and also because the Bernard Shaw pub will close before the end of this year [2019].
A few weeks ago I had a chat with one of the construction workers and he told me that one of the tower cranes was currently the tallest in the city and that more cranes would be added soon ... I counted five while I was talking to him.
Amazon employs more than 2,500 people in Ireland and announced plans last June to create another 1,000 jobs over the next two years, most of which will be located Dublin at Blanchardstown, Tallaght, North Count Dublin and the Portobello area of Dublin.
The Charlemont Square project is due to be completed in 2020. This mixed-use development is the second phase of a city centre regeneration project.
My understanding is that there will be a total 79 social housing units. There will also be 184 private residential units, bringing to 263 the total number of homes in the complex, in addition to significant commercial office space and retail units.
Addicted to CAS is currently running a challenge with the key word: COFFEE. I used Taylored Expression's Joe to go stamp set. I also cut the cardstock to resemble a takeout cup. For more info about this and other challenges see www.addictedtocas.blogspot.com.au/
This happy and carefree bunch of children were playing by the banks of the river Yamuna in Delhi. They just gave me these awesome set of expressions... and right after I took this picture they wanted to see how they came out in the shot. Thanks to a digital camera I was able to show them and they looked pleased. Talk about pressure! :D
Studying the effects of facial expression on the brain and how we perceive emotion both verbally and non-verbally.
Studies have shown that not all facial expression, or expression in its entirety, are universal.
Edman and Izard pioneered the study of facial expressions in the late 1960s, stating that one can tell a person’s true emotion based upon their facial expression. However, Fridlund said facial expressions show more about those who perceive them and found that facial expressions were critical to social interaction.
Algebraic expressions Algebra is a branch of Mathematics in which we use letters of English alphabet to represent some values. As letters do not have any numeric value of their own, they can be assigned any value which is not fixed. Thus, these letters has varying values unlike numbers & is called variables.
Perhaps evidence is too strong a word ~ but this is another unidentified flying object above Deepdale Retail Park.
It is from the top right hand corner of the picture called "Car Park."
It is not photoshopped in, or photo edited in any way.
I don't believe that it is a space craft from another planet, because I don't believe that such things exist ~ but I don't know what it is.
Using such a stripped backed format gives the photographer less tools to use in creating a good image, but lets them emphasise on key features already such as mood and composition, such as the model's dark and melancholic pose and expression here
This is close to one of my favourite of the 30 odd sleeper pics I have. The expression on the old lady's face is priceless. Poor lady is terrified of me. Shot with an Olympus 35 SP on an Ilford Delta 400 film.
