So I finished my internship yesterday! I had my powerpoint presentation and poster presentation yesterday as well--both went swimmingly. I really do dislike public speaking, but after I got warmed up and stopped shaking, I was able to present my data well. I'm relieved to be done and stress free for the next week, but I do miss my job a lot! I got lucky and had some really awesome coworkers, and mentors there, and I'm going to miss them. This morning I woke up at 7:30 like I normally do for work (my body naturally wakes me up), and I just couldn't relax! I spent the morning cleaning the kitchen for my mom (it looks beautiful and she's thrilled), baking Challah with my friend, and taking these bubble pictures for my dad's birthday present! I have a few others, but I'm planning to print his favorite on canvas.
I go back to school in 7 days :O
This shot was done using a square glass jar from target, with styrofoam pushed into the bottom (the white bokeh) and added club soda. I'm going to try this with a bunch of different objects! I also used my speedlite on camera for lighting purposes. It's reminiscent of this image www.flickr.com/photos/sarahnatanaphotography/4922077691/i... I took 2 full years ago!
As requested, here's some Alice ^^ I was supposed to take her out Saturday on a little road trip with my family, but on the way to our first stop her neck decided to snap, and by the time I got home and fixed her, it was dark out :/ But I had some time tonight so here she is~! :D
Developed as a long-range exploration vessel sized between its more famous stablemates the LL928 and LL924, the LL926 Cosmos Explorer ended up having less in the way of cargo space in the rear compartment, only able to fit the smallest design of rover available to the Lagrange-Lunacorp designers. Most of the extra space was taken up with fuel storage and crew supplies, giving the Cosmos Explorer the longest unsupplied range of the three vessels.
The lack of cargo capacity made the Cosmos Explorer less versatile than either of the other early LL-type explorer ships, however, and many planetary fleets of the inner system bought only a few of the craft. In the far reaches of the Uranian and Neptunian leagues and the Kuiper Belt Alliance, however, these ultra-long-range craft really came into their own.

So I was planning to build a sleekened, updated version of the old LL924 Space Transporter, but I think this ended up a bit bigger than that venerable beauty. Not quite up to the LL928, but that might actually be within reach now. Amazing thought.
Groups of people can be seen exploring spectacular Machu Picchu in this panoramic view from near the entrance. Best seen large to appreciate the scale, this is a stitched three shot panorama of the 15th century Inca site which is located on a mountain ridge at about 8000 feet elevation. The ruins lie in a saddle between the the two mountains Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu, and are frequently shrouded in clouds. Machu Picchu is situated above a loop of the Urubamba River, which surrounds the site on three sides, with cliffs dropping vertically for 1,480 feet to the river at their base. The site was abandoned after the Spanish conquest, and rediscovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. Because it was not known to the Spanish, it is relatively intact, and is a World Heritage site.

I got my braces off today!
Whoever said it didn't hurt to get your braces off,
I'm just gonna say,
this for me it DID hurt,
but only when they popped the brackets off,
other then that it wasn't that bad,
although it smelt like fireworks when they were uhh sawing? the glue off? Haha.

I just had to ask my Wife to allow me to capture them before they leave this pan :-) .. trust me, eventually I ate those, but inside a pie ;-) ... (sorry, pie was devoured mostly by me before I even thought of taking pic :)
