Probably my coldest and shortest shoot I've ever done. I never realized how quickly the sun goes down until today haha. This was another test shoot to work on getting used to using this alienbee which is definitely difficult. I shot with Chelsea probably a year ago so it was cool to shoot with her again.

We met up around 3:45pm and went to one spot I had in mind but as soon as I started setting up a cop rolled up and told us we couldn't shoot there since it was private property (at least he was chill about it). So we tried some stuff near by that didn't work out how I wanted it to and by then the sun was completely down. So I decided to try out by this garage that is right next door to my dorm here at school. Worked out very well I thought.

By the time we finished it was only around 5pm; I was very surprised at the amount of time it took to go from light to pitch black. Processing-wise I wanted to do something a little edgier so I mixed some stuff up between a couple actions and such. This one isn't as dark as the first, gave it a little more saturation. All 5 shots I edited have a different processing. Anyways, what's everyone's thoughts?

Here we see Morebus 2717 HW64AXJ photographed leaving Durlston Country Park while operating the summer only D5 Durlston Explorer service between Durlston and Swanage.

This bus was originally new to Southern Vectis & when it was transferred to Morebus it kept it's original livery & was branded for the Durlston Explorer service.

Taken August 2021.

I was so disgusted when some I-think-I'm-cool dude came walking up on this little owl and scared him away. Then when I got home and saw this flight shot, I thought maybe I should thank him. Maybe not so much. Prior to I-think-I'm-cool dude, I was extremely impressed with the large number of people there to see the owls and their obvious respect for them. Everyone kept their distance and the owls seemed much more relaxed than last year and trusting that folks weren't going to rush them. Last year we left because of people chasing the owls with cell phones trying to get a good shot.

I am just completely thrilled with this picture. I hope you like it too.

It's feeling like spring is coming, even though it's the dead of winter.

And then after that, it's summer.

This year went by fast.

Love Quote of the Day

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.

A. A. Milne mentioned and I sigh...:)

This photo was taken at Pulau Ubin on my way home after a tiring day in the island. Pulau Ubin is the only place in Singapore which is not urbanized and I hope it stays that way.
