This is me at the highest point of the Serra de Monchique, Portugal, whilst on holiday in October 2008. Photos of me are rare as I hate having my photo taken and prefer to be the other side of the lens! Even on this one I am squinting in the sunlight! LOL! :-)
Falaise rocheuse très à pic sur l´océan , extrêmement dangeureuse pour les embarquations qui se risquent trop près de cette côte rocheuse , surtout les jours de tempêtes !

Flamingos have long been associated with southern Florida. Sadly, very few still exist in the wild in Florida. These flamingos were photographed at "The Sarasota Jungle Garden".

This was at the Dead Horse Point State park just outside the Canyonlands National Park in Moab, Utah.
I have moderate vertigo and thus all the peeping down over non-baricaded cliffs is done by my wife who I guess have something opposite of vertigo! I was on the other side of the rim and discovered her on this small protruding piece of rock. Though my heart sank a bit but I gulped down and shot a few. I love the clouds behind her giving a nice negative space and putting out a clear figure of her at the end of the image.

Born in Louisiana, USA, bring Lucinda Williams the Southern soul to us and is considered one of the most well-known roots rock and alternative country musicians. Standing ovations accompanied the concert of this fantastic musician and songwriter (she was btw named one of the 100 best songwriters in the world by Time Magazine).
Here at her side is Stuart Mathis from Alaska. It is a pleasure to see how not only the technical skills of the two make up their interaction. Mathis regularly looks over to the boss and adapts completely to her, adapting to her tempo and the spontaneously decided order of the songs. You can tell she trusts him 100%.
Neither a stroke nor a tornado will stop this woman: Lucinda Williams is a (survival) artist and a real fighter. Three years after her health collapse and the loss of her Nashville studio, the grand old lady of country rock is back with an edgy album called "Stories From A Rock 'n' Roll Heart". A musical manifesto.
A big name... a strong woman who has lost none of her presence over the years. She is still part of the musical scene and is getting better and more intense despite her obvious illness. The evening was pure goosebumps.
