Muratovo Lake is a beautiful high mountain lake located in the northern part of the Pirin Mountains, at an altitude of 2230 meters. The lake is located east of Mount Muratov. Muratovo lake is about 3 meters deep, and the water in it is very clean and beautiful. There are fish and it is surrounded by beautiful vegetation and amazing views.
The current Flickr Explore Algorithm has by my estimate found 300 consecutive days of my images lacking in interest. It seems I have fallen off the automated schedule of making the list every two months and/or that my images are truly lacking in interest.
If only I could have a conversation with Math. I'd start by telling math that I have imprecisely deduced that I find 'it' lacking in interest as well.
I digress.
Mellon building in Philadelphia with a desaturated and fade vibe applied.
The drought continues...been over a week since I have shot anything other than snapshots. Maybe that algorithm has my photography pegged right after all?
Enjoy!

Probaby too stark for some but not for me. This old favorite stands sentry on a small hill down the road from me. I don't remember a time when it wasn't there obviously, whether Mum was driving us to school, or later when I passed it on the lane on a daily basis. It has always just been, solid, strong, lone.
Thank you one and all for giving this image your attention :-) My most viewed image by a distance, and it is probably one of my simplest compositions, interesting.....
430EX II @ 1/8 power | Handheld top of frame | Triggered by Impact PowerSync10
Been a little while since I've taken any sneaker pictures or used a strobe, so snapped this quickly on my fire escape. My Cactus V4 triggers became very erratic (during the Y Society shoot...) so I upgraded to some other flash trigger system that I found at B&H. Not hard to upgrade from $40 triggers... still, no PocketWizards as those were way out of my price range. This Impact PowerSync10 system has worked fine so far, just hope it lasts. It says it only syncs to 1/180 but I suspected it would be fine at 1/250. Took about 10 shots and the flash fired perfectly every time.
On a separate note I see Flickr has caught on with the whole 'view on black' thing. Nice upgrade.

Slicing up post-halloween pumpkins has been an ongoing tradition for the past 5 years.
This is the first year where I've been equipped enough to make something really cool out of it!
Unfortunately, (or fortunately), I haven't been able to figure out which of these three is the best and would invite you to leave a fave or comment to let me know which one you prefer!
I think each has their own strengths and weaknesses XD
I highly recommend you check out the SETUP SHOT

I really like how this came out :)
Oh, and I've been planning my own little photography project... I have all the ideas in my head, now I just need the right place to shoot.
Well, nevermind. You'll understand later :)
All I can say is, THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY.
Happy Friday everyone :)

Looking north over Royston at dusk from Therfield Heath.
The Johnson Matthey plant dominates the skyline. The lit up building on the left is Hamleys warehouse. The lights in the distance on the right are from the construction cranes at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, about 12 miles away.
Thanks everybody for the views and faves, I never thought a view over Royston industrial estate would go on Explore ! :)
