My favorite hike trail, also the most challenging hike on my Rocky Mountain trip. It's a 20km one way in, one way out hike that encompasses almost 1000m of elevation gain. The last 2km is a scramble up the peak. If you want to find the secrets on the summits, here you are 😊
The video shows scrambling ...

Twisting, dashing down a cliff,
dancing waters fall so fast,
joining many other streams,
making a river large, at last.
Gurgling, laughing over boulders,
singing wordless melody.
There are nooks on mossy banks
to read a story, or just be.
Sparkling droplets of mist
makes you feel so cool.
Down the water trail
twinkle fish in a quiet pool.
Relaxed for a little while,
limp as a tall green stem,
Watching bushy leaves
as gentle breezes move them.
Then, peacefully, home you go
with quiet in your heart
knowing you may return
When silent yearnings start.

Kolugljúfur Canyon is a stunning natural wonder located in the western part of Iceland. It is situated in the Víðidalur Valley, near the town of Hvammstangi. The canyon is carved by the Víðidalsá River, which flows through the rugged landscape, creating a picturesque gorge.
One of the highlights of Kolugljúfur Canyon is the Kolufossar Waterfall, which cascades down the cliffs into the river below. The waterfall is a popular spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts, as its powerful flow and picturesque setting make for stunning photographs.
As the sun begins to set, the cliffs of the canyon are illuminated, casting long shadows and creating a dramatic contrast against the deep blue sky. The colors of the surrounding landscape intensify, with the greens of the vegetation becoming more vibrant and the river reflecting the warm hues of the setting sun.
In summer at Iceland, sunset was about 11pm-12am, sunrise was about 1-2am, the night was too short. Always took sunset photos, then waiting for sunrise... Only 2-3 hours night (not really dark night) during summer time.

Well overdue a visit to this tree. And I'm not talking months, probably a few years! So glad to find it as I left it....

I hate to post and run but I thought I'd let everyone know that my hubby Mark is having minor knee surgery today. Certainly could use some extra prayers that all goes well. Thanks everyone and have a great day.

Remember that nursery rhyme? Well, I have to confess that I sort of set this up. This female flicker usually lands on our deck railing before getting some of the suet that's hanging above her. So I figured I'd give her something interesting to stand beside and went shopping for a teapot. It worked like a charm! Practically the minute I put the teapot down, she appeared and gave me a little wink. We're best friends now. ;-)

Sympathetic spot discovered with Yoann yesterday afternoon accessible to low tide after a small walk on the preceding beach. This range is bordered with very high mangroves trees and the sand covered by places with black leaves. When we arrived, the sun was nearly below the horizon, we had to quickly find elements of composition (while avoiding being bitten by a group of horseflies :-). Rémire-montjoly (French Guiana) on November 20, 2008, road of the beaches to the mouth of the river Mahury.
