Just got back from Disney and actually got a few Monorail shots!
(Walt Disney World -- Epcot -- Space Ship Earth)
Thanks for stopping by! Lots of Festival of Fantasy Parade and Flower and Garden shots to come. FYI...Two days before leaving I realized my camera was haveing some issues. Not enough time to shop around for a new one and can't go to Disney without one! I remembered seeing an ad on The Disney Photography Blog for Kingdom Camera Rentals. All I can say is these guys were great. Eacy to deal with, on time for drop off and pick up, great camera. I actually like the camera (Canon Rebel SL1) that I'm considering it for my new camera.

He loves to enjoy sunsets with me ... He loves to spread his little arms, close his eyes, and just breathe ... I love to watch him and capture that unique moment ...
Le encanta disfrutar de los atardeceres conmigo ... Le encanta estirar sus pequeños brazos, cerrar sus ojos, y simplemente respirar ... A mi me encanta mirarle y captar ese momento único ...

Not sure of species for this little jumping spider. She was around 7 mm body length.
She may be tiny, but she is mighty. And with her 8 eyes and almost 360 degrees of vision, a formidable huntress.

Awe, I am in awe of this woman. She is my partner, my best friend, the other half of our team, and mother to our two daughters. I stand in her shadow, and never more so than on the 25th of February when our second daughter was born.
I don't normally take photos of people but Zavinta wanted some images from the labour room so I couldn't say no to her :-) However I feel this is an image worth sharing, a nine month journey encapsulated in one second. At times it was a difficult journey, there were scares along the way but my girl got there in the end. And she did it all with just the help of our wonderful midwife Helen and a huge effort on her own behalf.
The emotion of it all, it is hard to find words to sum it all up. There is so much emotion in this image and trust me there was quite alot behind the camera too.
Thank you my love for our beautiful daughter, I will always be in awe of you, and welcome to our world baby Erin Ceplinskaite Maguire, you are loved.
Finally thank you all for your favs and especially your great comments, you are all very, very kind.

Putao (Burmese: ပူတာအိုမြို့) is the northernmost town of Kachin State, Myanmar and is the site of the World War II British Fort Hertz. It is the principal town in Putao Township. It can only be reached by road during summer (for nationals) but is accessible year round by air if there are sufficient tourist groups to justify a plane.
The area around Putao is famous for the variety of endemic birds and rare orchids, which grow naturally. Many orchid lovers are especially attracted by the so-called "Black Orchid" that can be found in the mountains east and west of Putao. Hkakabo Razi and other snow-capped mountains are visible from Putao.
Putao attracts also enthusiasts, hiking to Hkakabo Razi base camp, located close to Tahaundam.:credit :wikipedia

Prompt: A grand, painterly historical oil painting depicting Christopher Columbus as a visionary explorer. He stands on a rocky coastline overlooking the sea, wearing late-15th-century European attire with a dark cap, fur-trimmed cloak, and red garments. In one hand he holds a navigational instrument, and in the other a rolled parchment map. Behind him, sailing ships with billowing sails approach the horizon on a sunlit ocean. A globe, open books, and maps rest near his feet, symbolizing exploration and knowledge. Ethereal clouds fill the sky, forming symbolic visions above: a divine, radiant female figure in flowing robes gesturing toward the horizon, distant castles, and ghostly ship silhouettes, suggesting destiny and faith. Warm golden light, dramatic clouds, and rich earth tones dominate the scene. Highly detailed, classical realism, Renaissance-inspired oil painting style, epic scale, soft brush textures, cinematic lighting, historical allegory, masterwork quality.

After waiting eight days, my new 50mm lens arrived Saturday morning (at 8:37 a.m., nonetheless). I'm looking forward to using it properly sometime this week! :)
