29 / 52 - Summertime Songs

After launching from Nexen Beach in Squamish, BC, this kite boarder put on a good show until he doubled back, got caught on a wood piling and wiped out. This was the better picture.

"The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning.

The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much color." — Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting

Sadr Star rises early in the morning on the back of the Milky Way. Early season wide field work on the portable SkyGuiderPro and trusty DSLR/135mm lens. I am really enjoying the reds hitting the camera sensor thanks to the modification I had done by LifePixel IR. ✨🔭

Today was an adventure and I loved it. 🌿

Back Yard Exploration discovering wasp and bees

I've not been on an adventure in ages, and this was just that. Almost 2000kms of driving over the weekend, visiting several cities and a number of small towns, numerous cool spots, and handful of fantastic people. I think I left a part of myself in the Kootenays, and if I never find it I don't think I'd mind- it just gives me more reason to go back and keep searching!

A gorgeous sunset over Jones Lake. I really liked the way the rolling clouds on the right were backlit by the setting sun. Good stuff, imho.
