A lone locomotive roams the flat lands in Delta, BC, close to Roberts Banks. The single SD40-2 is the switcher for Roberts Bank and is picking up a set of cars way in the distance. The conductor on the job kicks up dust in his truck as he drives down to the joint. Meanwhile a separate cloud of dust is formed as a crew taxis to the intermodal train on the left.

This shot was inspired by that famous cherry blossom shot in Tokyo Skytree. I tried few spots at the Waterfront Station to get an angle similar to the photo I saw.

Have a wonderful week! :)

Not an Easter Bunny, but our dog Sadie posing in a field of dandelions near Vancouver, BC, Canada

Happy Easter weekend to all of you!

About this photo: This is our 3 year old Labrador Retriever named Sadie. We got her at 7.5 weeks old with the purpose of raising her to become a service dog for the BC & Alberta Guide Dogs. She went off to advanced training, but after a month and a half they realized she was too distracted and she didn't qualify to become a service dog. We were offered to adopt her as our pet and that we did!

We truly enjoy having her around and I am so happy she our doggy now. Here she is posing for me in a field of dandelions and daisies.

This photo was taken with my cell phone while out for a walk.

Thank you for dropping by and I hope you enjoy this photo!

I called it "The Bench View" because I was thinking of "The Tunnel View" when entering Yosemite Valley. It's a place where everyone will stop and take a shot from here. I was taking my time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful night skies at this starting point of the Lake O'Hara Circuit Trail. I was surprised I couldn't find a shot of the night skies taken from this very original spot of Lake O'Hara with the lodge in front, Yukness Mountain in the middle, Mt Schaffer on the right side with Mt Biddle peaking behind it. Crescent moon lit up the glacier on Glacier Peak and half of Mt Huber on the left. I was very excited with the condition on this beautiful night. Gorgeous mountains lit up by the crescent moon right behind. And the moon lights have to be just enough to lit up the mountain and also dim enough allowing to capture the milky way at the same time. And I'm not kidding, I've been looking for this conditions for almost 2 years. As there are only a few nights in every month that can shot under this conditions.

Blended with 2 exposure:

BG: 14mm f/2.8 30sec ISO4000

FG: 14mm f/2.8 3min ISO2000

Have a good day/night!

Any comments or sharing are greatly appreciated!

Even cool, damp and drizzly days can be great days to head out - the colors just jump out at you - esp the heavy moss in this park. The heavy rains have filled the Qualicum River making the flow of the river burst through the canyon.

Beautiful blossoms at Burnaby Mountain Park near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

About this photo: A photo from one of my favourite places in spring attire can't be missed from my photostream! I enjoyed a quick visit to Burnaby Mountain Park this morning while the clouds were moving in and out it seemed a bit foggy up here which made the cherry blossom path look even more pretty. This path is also a favourite of mine in the fall when the leaves turn.

The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival officially kicked off on April 1, 2022. There are many different varieties to be found in Vancouver and we usually get to enjoy cherry blossoms from the end of March until the end of April.

Some information on Burnaby Mountain: Burnaby is a city which belongs to the Greater Vancouver area and is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Burnaby Mountain is one of the beautiful places to visit in Burnaby and is located near the Simon Fraser University. The views over the mountains, the Burrard Inlet, downtown Vancouver and Indian arm from up here make it such a great place. This is a fairly popular destination popular visitors and locals alike. The green hillside offers room to throw a frisbee or send a kite soaring. There is a network of trails which offer a variety of hiking, walking and jogging options. There is also a playground tucked away in the upper hillside.

The Centennial Pavilion area features the Rose Garden, with its vibrant colours in season and a great variety of roses. Nearby is the acclaimed Horizons restaurant and two majestic totem poles, a reminder of the community's proud native heritage. Towering over the distant city are the tall Kamui Mintara (Playground of the Gods) sculptures. The Kamui Mintara is more than a dozen carved poles created by Japanese sculptors Nuburi Toko and his son, Shusei. These impressive sculptures commemorate the goodwill between Burnaby and its sister city, Kushiro, Japan.

Burnaby Mountain is a great place to enjoy in any season as there are always the beautiful views over the city, the mountains, the Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm (a coastal fjord of about 18km/11.25mi long).

Stoked to partner with @sunpeaksresort in BC and shred and explore this amazing mountain! Surrounded by mysterious fog in deep powder, day one couldn’t be much better! #sunpeaks360 #explorebc via 500px ift.tt/2DqY9xC

Arc of the milkyway above the pier at Porteau Cove. I came here for night shooting quite often and have been taking astrophotography many times here at the pier. But it is the first time have the complete arc right above the pier. Although the galactic center of the milkyway is not visible during winter season from the northern hemisphere. I'm still pretty happy with the condition this evening. Especially there is a light green and purple glow of aurora.Although it wasn't very active, it is still a great bonus of the night!!

This panorama consists 5 single expose vertical shots combined.

Hope you enjoy it!

Thank for viewing!!
