Another high contrast mono fern. I find the repeating shapes fascinating. I have been shooting in mono profile Jpeg + Raw on my canon m6 ii and like to underexpose by a stop or so to help me visualise how a shot will turn out. I like a high contrast bw look and so I sought out ferns in strong sun, something I wouldnāt do with flowers. Thanks for looking! In Explore June 10, 2023.

Johnston Canyon is an impressive natural chasm in the heart of Banff National Park, a beautiful gorge shaped by the rushing waters of Johnston Creek. Over many thousands of years, the river has carefully carved out intricate and dazzling shapes from the soft limestone rock, creating a stunning natural spectacle. With its overhanging, high walls, draped in lush vegetation, Johnston Canyon is a true delight.

The sun sets over the National Basilica of the Sacred Heart, aka Koekelberg Basilica, a church built from 1905 till 1969 in Koekelberg, one of the 19 municipalities of Brussels (Belgium).
Taken from the 34th floor of the Brusilia Residence, 4.4 km away (nearly 3 miles).
