I intend my painting and collage works to reveal the polarities of contemporary society, in particular the consumerist fashion world set against third world depravation. In past works I have created busy, colourful collages that unintentionally hide the negativity amongst all the beauty. In current pieces, by juxtaposing black and white images of destruction and suffering against brightly painted images of luxury, I hope to unveil this exploitation, desperation and, in my opinion, the unstoppable nature of consumerism and its effects.
The Perspex boxes are a vessel of my conceptual scepticism and inequalities of the human hedonistic psyche in their own right.

NCMEC held its “40 Years of Hope” celebration on Sept. 26, 2024, at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. For 40 years, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has been the leading global nonprofit in child protection. Over the past four decades, NCMEC has assisted with the safe recovery of more than 400,000 missing children, stopped the spread of millions of child sexual abuse images, and protected children with groundbreaking prevention education around the world. On our way to St. Johns the next day. Like an idiot I get out of the van and stand on the bridge to take a picture of the fishermen. I could feel the side mirrors of the cars as they passed by the bridge was so narrow. I got off rather quickly.
