Edit 2016

I now have a bigger and better skill set for digital file processing as well as the tools to do this, If I had raw versions of these I would be ablate do even more; sadly it was only towards of the end of this camera's life that I started using these. This is the 2016 version/edit. The colour and sharpness are greatly improved, I have also uploaded the highest resolution file I have, which by todays standards is nothing major but 12 years ago unheard of and I could not have afforded the disk/s to store such big files.

Bulrush (Typha latifolia)

Bulrush, was originally called Common Reedmace, but the name "Bulrush" was so often misapplied that is now the accepted common name. Bulrush is a sturdy, imposing plant growing in solitary stems up to 3m tall. The stems are sheathed by narrow sword shaped leaves, which usually emerge from below the water level. Its distinctive flower spike is composed of tiny densely packed flowers in conspicuous sausage-shaped 18-30 mm spikes. These 'explode' releasing around a quarter of a million plumed seeds to be dispersed on the wind.

4th of July 2011 from Seattle. Fireworks galore as they go off. I used BULB mode on the camera and F/8 to take most of the shots. Enjoy!

3Dsmax + vray + photoshop

não costumo postar trabalhos 3D, acho que não tenho moral disso ainda, e talvez demore a ter, realmente é complicado, muito estudo, muitos testes. mas é o que todo mundo diz por aí "um dia a gente chega lá." ou não.

Exploding Head Syndrome is a hardcore punk band from Oslo, Norway. The band hit the rehearsal space for the first time in the summer of 2010, and about a year later released their first recordings; a 7-tracks self-titled EP, which was well received by the norwegian press.

EHS describe their sound as “angry punk” and their lyrics deal with the stress and frustration of todays society. The band is highly influenced by american punk and british hardcore. Exploding Head Syndrome is renowned for their energetic live shows and in the last couple of years the band has toured Norway and has shared stage with bands like Satyricon, Oslo Ess and Blood Command.

On 9. October 2013 the band released their first full-length album Disciples of Reason on their own label Exploding Records. On the record they co-operated with producer Kenneth Ishak (Heyerdahl/Beezwax). The reception of the album has been great, and it has been hailed as the norwegian album of year by some critics.

Hubby's Birthday Cake - a bit of a last minute decision, which meant there were no cachous, the wrong gauge of wire and no cake boards the right size. He didn't care!

Hubby is big into "space" so I tried to do spacey colours for the fondant. Just wish I had thought of it before I made the primary coloured cut-outs. Oh well.

Slow Motion Exploding Lemon

The owner of the Toy House in Jackson bought about 25 huge bottles of Diet Coke. He then had a gizmo that would allow you to drop either Alka Seltzer or Mentos into the pop and it would send up a shower. Rachel got to pull the string this time

A 3-sec exposure of our Christmas tree while moving the lens focal length. Conversion to black and white and contrast boosted in post.

This tree was quite a sight to see. It's explosion knocked down many other trees near it and for 100 yards in all directions there were pieces of the tree.
