I'm experimenting with conveying a mood as simple as possible. It's pretty difficult.

A totally original piece (besides the fact that Darth Vader isn't my idea of course, just the viewpoint/perspective is original), this is what inspired my series of pictures I did after this...

Experiment: Pizza

A sneak peak at one of the mechanical engineering research labs at my university. In my opinion, not a very attractive place to work… I feel it could be alot tidier… but your mileage might differ.

Talking to Jordan on the phone.

Making the classic "Volcano" (which, Paul realized as he was doing it, even though it is "classic" has NOTHING at all to do with the way a real volcano really erupts; so we had to add *that* aspect into the experiment as well)

Just experimenting with different lighting, background and shadow effects with some small models

one of my first images shot through my 10-inch dobsonion telescope

quality isn't "great" i know but the image just has sentimental value to me (plus... its not a "bad" image is it?)

not cropped, not shopped

Experimenting with 1600 ISO digital shots with Alien Skin Exposure b&w film emulation. It'd be hard to develop and print Tri-X like this. The noise seems random enough that you might be able to fool a few people, but it'd take a concerted effort to get results this perfect.

hardcore photoshop experiments - getting started!

Moody Experiment.

Some photos from a place you might already recognize, as there're many photos of it here. This time I tried to make something different out of the familiar views. After all, this is a landscape that probably is not scenic this time of the year. At least not for me, not in the usual sense. But of course there's a certain mood -- which might be something that comes out of myself, but I'm sure not without some stimulus, outside, it is really there, somehow. Can it be pictured? Can it be conveyed? How can you depict the actual first impression?

On a technical note: All done with old 50mm f/1.7 lens, all wide open, I used a Kenko nostaltone blue for diffusion and color shift. „Enhanced" in LR & PS.

I Think I Got The Developing Timing Right This Time!

Experimenting with different layer sizes on the Bowden Replicator. Layers sizes from the left at 8 microns, 10 microns, and 20 microns. I'm still working out the correct feed rates and speeds for these settings. It looks like 10 microns is possible, and 8 microns might be a little bit too greedy.

Same free-form basket after felting. More detail to embellish as this is WIP.

Dahlia experiment again: macro, with flash and a little overexposure (10/25).

Have no orders for a couple of weeks so thought i'd do some experimenting and need to try things out!!!

These were my 1st attemt at a 'dome' cupcake, not particularly happy with the outcome but am hoping i can improve on them!!!

The design on these just sort of happened. I was trying to do them late last night but had a complete mind block!!! So tried again this morning and this is what happened! Quite like them but would change some things if i did them again.

NOT happy with the pics!!!!! Definately need to improve ALL aspects of my photography!!!

Found this flower on a walk in the neighborhood. Stayed up trying to represent it best. Finally settled on a long exposure moving a halogen light (from my microscope) at different places around the flower. Don't remember the settings. I think it was around 30s.
