Me, looking totally stupid but my experiment was more with colour. I've been trying different layer styles in Photoshop, and really getting to know the curves adjustment layer. I wanted to really bring out the red chair, blue/green tint of the room etc.
Connectivity and readymade.
Experimenting, manipulating and combining daily life objects in order to attempt, to force or to mystify a workable connection between them, at least to make it visible and/or possible. This exercise is to be considered as a warm-up, a first step towards a further installation or project.

Starting today, I am going to try and lay off the D60 and try restricting myself to the iPhone's camera for somewhile. I may still upload pictures I took earlier, but my focus is to try and push this camera to it's limits.

This empty Culligan bottle was just sitting there, needing to be photographed. I was kicking back, watching some classic Star Wars with the boys, and I realized that our coffee table is glass. The creative, now Strobist influenced, mind starting thinking.
So I took the bottle and put it on top of the table. With my Vivtar 285hv below the table, shooting upwards. A few test shots and walla!

ACRYLIC DIGITAL PAINTING

Some photos from a place you might already recognize, as there're many photos of it here. This time I tried to make something different out of the familiar views. After all, this is a landscape that probably is not scenic this time of the year. At least not for me, not in the usual sense. But of course there's a certain mood -- which might be something that comes out of myself, but I'm sure not without some stimulus, outside, it is really there, somehow. Can it be pictured? Can it be conveyed? How can you depict the actual first impression?
On a technical note: All done with old 50mm f/1.7 lens, all wide open, I used a Kenko nostaltone blue for diffusion and color shift. „Enhanced" in LR & PS.
Global warming experiment - not all of the garden is public access - Scientists constructed 48 special outdoor ponds at the University’s Ness Botanic Gardens overlooking the Dee Estuary, creating a controllable ecological system similar to those found in natural ponds and lakes. The ponds – of a similar size to natural ponds – are capable of being artificially heated by just 3ºC to mimic the effects of global warming. I decided to experiment with the Samyang 8mm fisheye yesterday, by taking images of bridges, doing a lens correction in Lightroom, then stitching them together. I learned a lot about what not to do, but decided to post this one as a starting point. (Note to self - make sure the sky is included in the compositions or you will lose structural detail of the bridge.)
