La vida es humo que se evapora por segundos, pasa y se desvanece.
Capturando los segundos, quizás, podríamos congelar el tiempo, pero al final el humo termina escapando como los segundos, y la vida pasa....

By slowly moving the light around the subject; it creates a bright light line around the little boy. Because there is such a high contrast between the subject and the light, several shadows are formed on the wall. There also is a reflection of a house with a streetlight on the wall which is clearly visible. Not only the white line puts emphasis on the subjects, also the other colored light lines help to put emphasis on the boy.

For this experiment I splashed lots of black ink onto an A2 piece of white paper and then shook salt all over it. In the past I have slightly played with the process, however I didn't know the effect it could add to a piece. It's a wonder to just watch. The salt creates a sand like texture which absorbs the ink and spirals out like crystals. As I was about to start this piece I had a brain wave to glue pieces of string to the paper. Due to the poor quality glue stick, this did not happen. But instead when I washed the paper with ink, I saw this amazing texture appear as the glue separated/pushed the ink away. I am truly fascinated by the effect and just want to keep playing with these materials and adding more into it.
Another one of my experiments.. Was trying out HDR pic using my canon sx20... and am quite proud of the result here.. ;)
[Made use of the trial version of photomatix]
Experimenting with the different lenses/flashes/films... please excuse the unimaginative subjects - I was sat in a stationary car...

i wanted to save money and create my own lightbox. I didn't construct it right but this experiment turned out ok. Actually it doesn't really look like an orange...
edit: is orangey even a word??
first experiments with manual settings and changing the app. to f10 to see if i can get more in focus

The portrait of the portrait of the family was cool - they asked about the Leica and how they wish they were both able to take more street like photos. Im particularly happy with the portrait of the gentlemen that works in the market. Ive spoken with him several time while at the market - genuinely one of the funnies guys ive met in a while
Victorfanstik1 is the guy with the savage shirt on - I thought I got away with a cool right down the pike shot at hip level but he clocked me and wanted a more formal portrait. Given that ive only taken 5 to date meant that they weren't any good.
Lesson learned today was simply to interact with folks more. Not only because I met amazing folks but because they make for better work.
After a hard day at work I decided to experiment with snow at night. My first attemt at shooting at night. Any thoughts?
A sneak peak at one of the mechanical engineering research labs at my university. In my opinion, not a very attractive place to work… I feel it could be alot tidier… but your mileage might differ.
