doubled rings
there a litttle squished on scanner
the longer on the left could be made in sections with double ring connections if the A.R. was larger
the A. R. is close to 5
really a squished up rsd set in different directions,
Another busy day!!!
Our Science Surfers experiments are always astonishing
and kids were indeed surprised with density tower they made today.
They also enjoyed collaging the UAE national flag craft.
Basketball during their outdoor play was awesome.
Kids enjoyed circle time reviewing numbers and Phonics.
They acted as mail carriers delivering White Fields mails during pretend play.
They were very surprised to see how Pepsi drink exploded after adding baking soda during the science experiment.
It was a great day for us at White fields Nursery.
Experiment - 7 photos
Four photos in portrait mode in top half
Three photos in landscape mode in bottom half
No adjustments made - wooden fence and brick wall have a natural curve (not a distortion) - horizon is very skewed.
PTGui
I took four photos over the space of two seconds to try to capture the dance progression. Unfortunately the focus was horrible, but I played around with it anyway. Adding more than two couples makes it a little crowded, but it would be a fun technique to try with a tripod and a longer period of time.
This picture was taken using 35mm film in the holga. The photo has a vertical rule of thirds as opposed to the traditional horizontal rule of thirds. There are many obvious leading lines in this picture with the tracks, landscape, and trailer all pointing in the same direction off into the distance. A unique aspect of this photo is that the "film look" created at the top and the bottom of the picture by using the 35mm film has a similiar look of railroad tracks.
Open day in a school in Berlin - experiment in chemistry: boil wax into a test-tube and put it then into cold water
I had this dream 1 week ago about vampire thing..
I dreamt a vampire bit me and I became one...
The next day when I woke up.. I checked if I have fangs already.
So engross with Twilight that I'm dreaming about it.....crazy dream....hehehe..
***anyways...I'll share this to show what I'd learn from GPN..thankie to kuya John for sharing his knowledge in photoshop..
Experiment Bight, to the east of the Cape Scott Lightstation.
(I did a trip to Cape Scott in April, and the weather was warm and sunny. I didn't even need the tent at night, the weather was great).
Messing around with manual settings on the camera. Really
Messing around with manual settings on the camera. Really slow shutter speeds, small apertures, plus the flash... Trying to get him to flail around, too.
See catmadogma's "Dogwood and Raindrops". I hope you didn't mind, catmadogma, but I couldn't resist seeing what was in that raindrop. It's like another world.
Lights on! This was a test piece created by glassblower Kenny Galusha so that we could experiment with different textures, colors and features.
NASA's forward osmosis water filtration experiment flying aboard space shuttle Atlantis. It purifies contaminated water using a sugary electrolyte solution.
I went for a walk after school to a field near mine, i didn't really have anything i wanted to capture in particular but i enjoyed messing around even if the shot is pretty basic
This photo was a test photo for the following: shooting this lens at or close to its 200 mm max focal length, at f/2.8, with no flash, at a pretty high ISO (2000), and with some overexposure so I could aim for less noise, and bring down the overexposure in post. I didn't get to overexpose it as much as I wanted because just this was @ only 1/15 of a second and even with IS that is crazy low. Anything more overexposed would've either warranted me raising the ISO which I didn't want to do yet, or an even lower shutter speed. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. It's definitely less sharp than photos taken with this lens and with flash/higher SS/lower ISO, but it's not awful. How am I going to learn if I don't try stuff? This photo wasn't even supposed to be a real photo…I wasn't going for composition or anything…but after some processing including the b&w conversion I kinda like it, or at least his eyes. I am not sure about how much his chin got cut off, but hey, it's an experiment!
More Bokeh (not berries), these are in poor light and therefore it is assumed the quality of bokeh (boke) or out of focus will lessened by the ability to keep the core focus at high quality.
Image
All though this is not what is known as a Bokeh the camera set up performs close to the requirements, the main contributor may be the lack of light.
The image show traits of out of focus background even with a short distance between the focus item and the background.
Camera
focal length: 47 mm or in 35 mm - 324 mm
Horizontal focus set
AF mode: 1-area
Focus mode: Multi-segment
AFPoint Position: none
Image Stabilization: Off - this may be the deciding factor in some of the previous attempts as the camera attempts to render a stabilized image. Therefore attempts to focus the area selected.
As always comments, contributions welcome
trying to make a knitted version of the woven fabric in the upper right hand corner. (the woven fabric is from the Fellowship cloaks in the Lord of the Rings movies.)
the knitted pattern shows up when viewed at an angle and almost disappears when viewed head-on. I like this a lot! thinking about making a small blanket/large wrap with the pattern.
Again, an experiment with my macro. And again, it didn't turn out as well as I would have liked, but I liked the shapes and textures so I posted it.
