Did a quick modification and can now fit a roll of 35mm in a spare Hasselblad A12 back.

If you're going to try doing this I'd suggest using a bulk roller and rolling a custom sized roll of film because the 36 exposure roll ended up with a lot of wasted film after all 12 exposures on the back were complete.

Experimenting with my new flash unit. Trying to make something boring look interesting.

Strobist info: Sony HVL-F42AM off to the right, bouncing off the wall and ceiling. Triggered wirelessly using the cameras built in wireless functions.

If anyone has a suggestions or critiques for me they would be more then welcome. I just got my first flash and am eager for any feedback anyone can give me.

I'm a bit bored with all those clean and crisp photo's. Still looking and searching for some excitement in my photography. So this is an experiment, an extreme crop of an not so exciting photo.....to see how I feel about the photo when I see it on (at?) Flickr and to hear some criticisme from you guys.

Love to hear your opinion. Be honest.....do you like, love or hate it? ;)

Experimenting with some calligraphy styles. Stockwell Hall of Fame - February 2021

Experimented with a different look here. No layers applied here; simply some exposure tweaking and mild contrast adjustments.

My experiments with anaglyphic imagery led me on to looking at other ways of making a flat 2D image come to life and present itself as 3D. Through much research I found Salvador Dali’s projection of Alice Cooper, a rock star from the 1970s. It is called 'First Cylindric Chromo-Hologram Portrait of Alice Cooper's Brain'. In this image, Cooper is sat cross-legged on a spinning plinth holding a statue of Venus de Milo. During this period, Dali was exploring stereoscopy- the study of two-dimensional images that become 3-dimensional when viewed through both eyes. Dali used a display case, a motorised turntable and motion picture film to create his hologram. As I lacked the resources to replicate this process, I used a holographic method called a pyramid hologram. This is where you have a colourless acetate or plastic that is in the shape of a square based pyramid without the top and or the base face. It is placed on a screen for example a phone or tablet where there is a photo or series of four photos of the same object from different angles. Placed in a dark room the pyramid is put in the centre of these images and they will appear on the four faces of the acetate.

Holograms were interesting investigation but something that I found hard to create images of due to the fact that they aren’t solid and so the photos are slightly out of focus. However, as a project I undertook it was very insightful and 3D photography as a whole is a photographic process I would like to explore again later.

Another fun experiment made by Oriol.

Experimenting with a false aperture to shape my bokeh. This was one of my worst shots but there's something about his little face here that I love.

The model was my cat Belly.

Another busy day!!!

Our Science Surfers experiments are always astonishing

and kids were indeed surprised with density tower they made today.

They also enjoyed collaging the UAE national flag craft.

Basketball during their outdoor play was awesome.

Kids enjoyed circle time reviewing numbers and Phonics.

They acted as mail carriers delivering White Fields mails during pretend play.

They were very surprised to see how Pepsi drink exploded after adding baking soda during the science experiment.

It was a great day for us at White fields Nursery.

Notice the fence posts poking up through the grass? These are remnants from the early Danish settlers who homesteaded and raised cattle here on the very northern tip of Vancouver Island. This photo is at Experiment Bight in Cape Scott Provincial Park.

Designing our own controlled, variables experiments

Experimenting with similar shots using different RAW profiles. I didn't want to use the same shot with different profiles to prevent biasing of evaluation.

This is more of an experiment in DoF. This pigeon's eye caught my attention, though.

I was just experimenting some things here
