Razia Gershon, a veteran Israeli sculptress debutes online gallery. Sculptures are presented in figurative classic style , based on and inspired by the human body, its movements and ballet steps. The sculptures are cast in bronze, and despite the hardness and rigidity of the material the statues are made of, the viewer can easily see and feel the movement, the elegance and the gentleness expressed in the statues. One of the better known series Razia created includes a bronze garden sculpture series of various animals and in particular sheep. The comic bronze figures are unique and have become the artists’ trademark in Israel.
My 2nd maternity shoot. Tried a few without the backdrop this time as the colours looked pretty good. Also, there wasn't loads of room to set up the backdrop due to the shape of the room.
For the shots without the backdrop I used both my Sony F42 flashguns with white shoot-through umbrellas.
For the backdrop shots I had a bare flash behind the backdrop and one camera right with a reflector on the floor aiming back up into Matt & Kiley.
I wasn't expecting the disused Road Safety School to be still there but luckily it was.
So I went in and looked around.
Checking the DOM on the back of the signs, I assume it shut down in the early 2000s due to money problems.
It was amazing how slowly fading this place was. Didn't look like anywhere else that had been shut for the past two decades.
These place is likely to date from the 1960s.

Had a little photoshoot with my pregnant fiancee. We are expecting a baby girl any day now and wanted this to be the first picture of here.

I normally do not post shots that do not turn out so great, nor do I edit them. I like everyone else on flickr really do not want to advertise the fact that some of my shots do not turn out for what ever reason it might be. BUT today I am making an exception. (the only reason I can do this to this family is they are like my family so they get the same treatment as my own family....tortured)
My friend had these cute little dresses for her girls and I had been doing a ton of sessions in the frost and she thought the dresses would look so nice against the frost. So she asked if I could do a mini session for her. The second we head outside one of the girls slips and falls, the temperature is around 15 degrees, and the baby is not feeling well. All elements that almost make it impossible to get a happy family picture.
We tried. I finally said this is not going to work! We called it a bust and as we were walking inside I said to her in a serious tone, "You were right those dresses really do look nice against the frost." To that she said, "I told you they would!" then we break out in laughter.
The photo above was the BEST shot. When I came home and pulled the shots up I laughed so hard I cried.
My advice is when the shots are just not working, call it a day. Don't waste your time or your clients. It happens, roll with it. =]

Leaving for China on Thursday and expecting lots of nice smiles from friends new and old and most of those that pass by.
This advertisement amused me for a couple of reasons.
1. In China, European faces are ubiquitous on bill boards and now the reverse is happening in Oz.
2. What are they selling here? Does the girl have to fill up on bottled water to save 4 cents? The petrol is actually discounted - no good for drinking but very popular for sniffing in parts of Oz. Ironically, per litre, bottled water costs more than the petrol.

I never expected to see two Conrail motors together, both still in blue, both EMD, and all on the BN side of the river! In April of 2011, train H-NSINTW was gifted with a blue SD60M and SD50 combo, and as luck will have it, it didn't run until I was out of school!
We wait for something always. In turn in shop. How many remains days before holiday. When the kid will be born. Increases in career. When crisis will come to an end. In a rush hour...
This person is obviously tired from something, it seems to me that he has got tired to wait.

Numerous protestors across the street from the Hilton. They included a diversified group including those against the Keystone pipeline, pro-life people and Latino groups protesting the adminstration's deportation policies.
The general opinion in the Latino community is that the Dream Reform Act is nothing but a sham. Obama used it as a trick to help himself get re-elected. It also serves as a means by which the government collected names and other information on people that could be used against them in the future. It also helps reinforce the militarization of the border with Mexico.
As for the KXL tar sands pipeline, conservationists and environmentalists
fear that another oil disaster is inevitable given the shoddy and neglectful safety records of the oil companies. Tar sands is dilbit oil which means diluted bitumen. It is diluted because it is otherwise too thick to flow through a pipeline. It is literally tar and much harder to clean up after a spill.Three years ago there was a spill of dilbit oil in the Kalamazoo River near Marshall Michigan. As spills go, it apparently wasn't even that large, but it's still being cleaned up today.
And the taxpayers were on the hook for at least part of the expenses incurred by the President's trip. According to the Air Force, Air Force One costs $180,000 an hour to operate. The taxpayer foots the bill for security and anything else not related to politics. No estimates or information on the total cost.

Got a few of these little guys this morning - I expected them to be teeny and (as the Japanese say) kawaii, but they are even teenier and kawaiier than I was expecting.
These are very much like the extremely decent IN-14s but smaller and with a slightly different “font” like this square-backed 5. (The IN-14's 5 is an upside-down 2, which some nixie connoisseurs / connoiseuses find icky, but it don't bother me none [as we say out West].)
After seven seasons of sex scenes, surgeries and more sex scenes,Nip Tuck fans may be surprised at how writer/creator Ryan Murphy opted to end the FX drama.
At least that's what Dylan Walsh, who plays Sean McNamara, hinted as he praised Murphy "for coming up with something that is a little different than what people are going to expect."
In the 100th and final episode, titled "Hiro Yoshimura," Sean and colleague Christian (Julian McMahon) reflect on their tumultuous relationship, which Walsh describes as comparable to a marriage. "Underneath all that squabbling is a love story," he said.
Besides seeing things wrapped up with the main characters, fans will also get to hear Sean and Christian say, "Tell me what you don't like about yourself," one last time to our final patient of the week: an elderly Asian porn actor.
And be sure to pay attention to the final scene of the episode (Wednesday at 10/9c) to see if you can identify a very specific call back to the 2003 Nip Tuck pilot.
