What to Expect Architect when You Build Homes?. You are planning to build or renovate a house? There is a nontechnical considerations about two-way communication that you need to learn for maximum results. houserior.com/what-to-expect-architect-when-you-build-homes
I was expecting this one to be much bigger, it's kind of tiny.
It can be seen on Google Street View (well, at least those coloured dots, which aren't part of the piece): maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&g...
these cupcakes are straight out of "vegan cupcakes take over the world". two amazing recipes, and simple! you should expect orignial twists on delicacies like this at sugar crash: seattle's upcoming vegan moveable bakery. yikes!

A brief stop at Ampthill industrial estate not really expecting to see anything, but both Thameslink workings were in the hands of 319s. 319436 and 319446 head north although the sun wasn't playing ball! I believe this was a St Pancras to Bedford sevice as the "core" was closed.
Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan opened a massive new distribution center in Hammond, Indiana in September 2016 and contracted with Watco Companies to provide switching services. Merged with Agrium Inc. in 2018, the company is now named Nutrien but Watco still provides the switching with this pair of Wisconsin & Southern SD40-2s, certainly not a railroad you would expect to see in the Hoosier State.
On Saturday, May 15th, we celebrated 100 new and expecting military parents in Silverdale, WA! The sun was shining bright, and it was the perfect day to distribute diaper bags filled with goodies, diaper cakes, “for mom” items, and many more surprises. Walmart employees volunteered their time to pack and distribute items and congratulate the new mothers, which made this event truly special. This event would not have been possible without the generosity of all our sponsors. THANK YOU to Kendall Ford of Marysville, Walmart, P&G, Navy Federal Credit Union – Bremerton Branch, Modern Burlap, Kiinde, MAM, Project Linus, Manhattan Toy, United Through Reading, and Thrive Causemetics. Finally, thank you to all the military families for the sacrifices you make each day to keep this country safe. We are so grateful for all you do!
Roughdown Common and Gadesprings Field Trip report - 30/04/14
I was joined by Roger and Lucy last night at Roughdown Common, for our first trip to this fantastic mixture of open chalk grassland with intersecting woodland.
This is the earliest in the year that we have trapped this site, and we waited with baited breath to see what might turn up to the lights.
Conditions were quite good with a faint breeze and a temperature of around 15c at dusk, dropping to 10c when driving home.
We set 1 light up overlooking the lower grass field, the second one along the edge of the woodland and the third (MV) within the wood itself and under a large Oak.
Interestingly my Mercury blended bulb did quite well on the edge of the field and attracted a good variety of species, equal to that of the Mercury vapour (this isn't always the case!)
It was slow going at first, with a few Waved Umber's and Green Carpet's first to the trap, then the variety performance turned up and we started to accumulate a nice list.
Lights were on at 8.45pm and by 11.15pm we were ready to pack up as there was a distinct chill in the air and the sky had cleared.
In 2 and a half hours of trapping with 3 lights we had amassed 70 moths roughly of 38 species, a very pleasing result.
Moth species were also very specific to which light they went to. Only Small Phoenix, Powdered Quaker and Sallow Kitten went to the Actinic.
Most of the Brimstones favoured the 160w Blended bulb.
To the MV we had Knot Grass.
Common Marbled Carpet was my earliest ever, and I didn't expect a Twin-spotted Quaker either having last seen them a few weeks back now thinking that they had finished.
All in all a very pleasing catch and nice to add some Spring species to the site list.
On our way back from Roughdown Common, we checked to see how the trap had fared at Gadesprings...we couldn't believe it. Although there was only 14 moths present, 7 species were recorded here that did not feature in the catch at Roughdown Common!
I look forward to coming over again soon.
Thanks to Roger and Lucy for helping me set up, and for Roger being with me as always until the bitter end!

Expect a slower pace here in Montreat. I spent many hours walking around this small lake when I was younger. Montreat is home to Montreat College and has an active conference center. The Inn while staying for a conference is the large rock building in the center of the photo. I look for the two white swans that make their home here.
But if you’re in a corner
And you can’t find no way out
Don’t look around for no help
No, no there won’t be any around
Expect no mercy, expect no mercy

This didn't come out quite how I was expecting, as I had placed this gorgeous Rose against my WHITE fridge! Actually, I bought this flower to photograph, ready to make into a photo tribute for 10-year-old Zahra Baker, in North Carolina, US. However, I needed to wait until the human remains just discovered have been tested and presumably determined to be those of this amazing young girl. In the meantime, I decided on a different idea for a tribute photo (partly because the floral meaning of an orange Rose was not what I wanted), but I still must wait. I don't know how many of you have followed this brutal, tragic case - about as sickening and heart-wrenching as a murder can be. This young girl looks so sweet in the photos and videos of her. She survived bone cancer and lung cancer, had a below-the-knee amputation as a result of the cancer, and wore a hearing aid. Yet, despite all these battles, you only saw photos of her with a smile that lit up her whole face. Her father and her stepmother have not yet been charged with her murder. How can any parent do such horrendous things to such a sweet child? How can anyone abuse and kill their own little girl??? Yes, this kind of News is unpleasant and upsetting. Some people will choose not to watch this kind of News, which I can understand. However, I have always been someone who wants to know everything, no matter how bad. I want to be aware and not live with closed eyes and ears. I believe people need to know what goes on, including so that they can maybe step in when it's needed. Any suspicions of abuse need to be reported - we have a moral obligation to do so. Tragically, in Zahra's case, many reports were made, but nothing was done ...... and now this young girl is dead.
With 23 hours of travel to get to Doha you might expect my travelogue to start there. Except Doha was a means to an end. It might be the 5th best airport in the world, but it's still an airport. Yes, it's enormous like Incheon, and has an elevated railway. So does Changi. If you could see outside it would be dusty, grim and without an horizon; like Heathrow only brown. Nope, Doha is a big, fifth best non-event.
The next leg from Dohar to Casablanca and thence Marrakech sounds exotic. The flight is long. Qatar has upset, well, everyone really and so their planes must fly north over the Persian Gulf and Iran to take a "safer" route over Iraq and Syria before heading south of Greece over the Mediterranean etc. This makes it longer than simple geography dictates. By the time Casablanca is reached the expected short stop over is something looked forward too.
Except there is a set down in Casablanca for a crew change, clean and reprovision of the aircraft. Return to your seats! This is a milk run from Doha, via Casablanca to Marrakech then straight back to Doha. You will be cramped, counted, counted again, cleaned around recounted. You will not enjoy Casablanca.
Travel tip #1 The flight from England to Marrakech takes 3 hours and doesn't go near Casablanca. It's probably much the same from most of Europe.
Travel tip #2 After travelling for 31 hours and disembarking in Marrakech, but before reaching immigration control, steal a small child. Adults with a small child go straight to the front of the queue. Everyone else queues for an hour.
You'd suppose that having queued for an hour and made sure that your passport is stamped, because it is difficult to leave Morocco without an entry stamp, that things would run more smoothly. Get your stamp and stride off to get your bag. That is, stride about 3 metres to the next queue where you line up for a check to see that your passport was stamped. Aaaaargh!
Welcome to Marrakech.
This female mallard cruised by the shoreline, expecting a handout from us. She was feeding on the floating Azolla, sometimes called duckweed, although, that's really an incorrect name for this plant, but I couldn't resist the duck and duckweed title.
Expected bad weather, so I rode the beater (my other rain bike is acting up). Had beautiful weather. I love riding this, just the same, even though it's my "ugly" bike.
Expecting Hurricane Dorian - They survived Hurricanes Matthew and Irma. Wish them the best. This little fledgling has stolen my heart.
second daughter expecting first baby next spring which will be our 4th grandnugget... waiting to see if we will get a girl finally!
Inqmnd: You’ve produced a lot of classic Hip Hop; did you ever expect to win a Grammy in a different genre?
Dante Ross: Nah, I understand. I was really sick of Hip Hop and I decided I was going to re-invent myself and make alternative records or grown up records or rock records and I actually did it. I think it was more than the Grammy, the fact that I could actually turn my career around, make a whole different genre of music and be successful at it; that meant more to me then the Grammy. To say, “Oh shit, I re-invented myself, look how much I’m being validated for it”. I think that was the accomplishment I was most proud of, the ability to reinvent.

In Venice, you'll see plenty of beautifully attired constables, from one of , oh, three or more different police forces that have jurisdiction in Venice. They're friendly and helpful, but seem powerless to do anything about the Vu Cumpra. I'm only making fun because I heard it all from Venetians first.
Part of an occasional series about what to expect when you visit Venice.
