Emperors Shadow Guard was an organization of Force-sensitive soldiers recruited from the defeated remnants of the Sun Guard( an Thyrsian religious group and one of the most feared mercenary units in the galaxy) and Jedi Knights who fell to the dark side after Order 66.
They served the Galactic Empire during the Great Jedi Purge and were trained by Emperor Palpatine's apprentice, Darth Vader.
Dr Aphra 3.75" with removable hat: Uses TVC 129 with modified head. I took off the hat w/hair piece from the head and dremeled out the inside of the hat to make it thinner and cut off the hair pieces - I left a little bit of the hair at the ends of the hat flaps and painted them as though they were straps. I thinned out and modified a hair piece taken off a Marvel Infinites Emma Frost, then repainted and glued it to the Dr Aphra head.
Black Krrsantan 3.75" custom: Uses parts from 2 TBS Merumeru figures. I replaced the right forearm on one with a left one from the other. The head is from a POTJ Chewbacca Mechanic with the deadlocks attached from a Merumeru. The bandolier is made combining parts from the 2 Merumeru. The spikes on the shoulder plates are horns cut from some cheap small dinosaur figures. The buckle is made from parts of the bandolier, with a piece of celtic knot jewellery in the centre. Bowcaster from SW Saga 03/14 Chewbacca Mynock Hunt.

Continuing the story of Star Wars Legends we move to the first book of the Darth Bane trilogy, Path of Destruction by Drew Karpyshyn, published in 2006. The highly detailed build by Alex shows part of the final Battle of Ruusan where the Sith Lords of Kaans Brotherhood of Darkness battle Jedi led by Master Hoth one final time. Ruusan was ravaged by years of war between jedi and the Sith at this point in time. Out of the chaos of this battle Darth Bane will rise victorious with every other Sith dead so he can reshape the Sith order to create the Rule of Two that ultimately ended up in Palpatine defeating the Jedi order and becoming emperor. Alex took the time to not just portray the battling Jedi and Sith, who rock cool light up lightsabers, but also gave us some of his amazing rockwork a nicely textured landing platform and showed off a great technique for trees.

Kyp Durron was a Human male who was a polarizing figure in galactic history, both a leading Jedi Master in Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order and a man responsible for many deaths during his anti-Imperial rampage in 11 ABY.
Incarcerated in the spice mines of Kessel by the Galactic Empire at an early age, Durron's deep anger against his imprisoners was easily exploited by the spirit of Dark Lord of the Sith Exar Kun, once Han Solo rescued the young Force-sensitive and took him to Luke Skywalker's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4.
Under Kun's guidance, Durron stole the Sun Crusher superweapon and embarked upon a vendetta, destroying several Imperial targets and unwittingly killing his own brother in the process.
Only after Kun's influence had been banished did Durron begin a long quest for absolution which led him to become Skywalker's most talented pupil and one of the first Jedi Masters of the New Jedi Order.
1.16.22 - Sculpt progress on Star Wars: Dark Times (Dark Horse Comics) Dass Jennir and Falco Sang along with my first sculpt update on the "OG" bounty hunter, Skorr from the classic Marvel comic strip The Bounty Hunter of Ord Mantell. All 1:18 scale.
Holidays are over, the decorations are stored, time to get back to work.
Sculpt progress on Dass Jennir. I finished the first set of variant forearms that are connected by the magnets seen in my last update. Strong attachments, as if they were jointed. The second variant will have the forearms wrapped as they appeared when Jennir rode his steed. I also worked on building up the chest sculpt a bit, adding a loosely fitted collar to the shirt. Added some more hair to the head sculpt and began working on a hood/head combo that will work independently from one another rather than being a single, static sculpt.
Also worked on Jenir's steed. The sculpt as seen here in the photos will need a complete rework with the exception of the head and horns. The entire body needs to be thinned out, the neck especially. The neck also needs to be elongated and the center articulation cut removed. I never liked that and it serves no purpose. I think the body is ok...just too thick, muscular. Nothing wrong with some definition but right now the body is looking too much like a Clydesdale.
Falco Sang progress. Started sculpting the upper body and arms of the figure. I'm not sure if the character's "sneaking suit" contained a texture? In the comics, it's a flat black. I took a little artistic license and added a subtle texture to the bodysuit. When painted, I think it will make the figure much more interesting to look at. Also sculpted one of the shoulder guards. Not sure how it will connect to the figure at this point. I'm looking at some clear or black elastic mini bands to go over the shoulder. I want a free range of movement, that's for certain. Finally, I worked a bit more on Falco's unmasked head sculpt. Sanding down the scalp and sculpting ears. I plan on sculpting his hair this week. I also need to begin working on his doid, Ize.
The true "OG" bounty hunter. Before Boba, there was Skorr - the Bounty Hunter of Ord Mantell. You've seen the head sculpt before - I sculpted that back in 2011 I think? It needs a little work to bring it up to the standards I have now. Back then I was having issues learning to blend layers of epoxy at this scale. If you zoom in on this sculpt, you will see where layers ended and new layers began. Some simple sanding and resculpting will bring the head to sculpt up to date so expect a better look coming soon. The body is a dremeled down Spartan figure from Boss Fight. Nothing modded yet. I'm sure I will replace the neck joint and add more articulation but this will be the frame of choice. Gathered all the source images I could find so I hope to begin having better updates for you all in the immediate future.
Bonus! I'll be sculpting his sidekick "Gribbet" who is a Rybet bounty hunter and whose species ironically appears in the Dark Horse series! I've included a panel image showing the creature standing near Dass Jennir.
That's it for this week! Hope to have more to show you next week - if anything, just an image or two to show progress. Will be needing to purchase new molding and casting material for replications soon.
Thanks again for your continued interest in my work! I appreciate all the comments and critique you've given me!

One of the best Star Wars characters you never saw in a movie!
In the wake of the Emperor's death he reunites the tattered remnants fo the Imperial military together to give the New Republic its' greatest challenge.
I really love this character because he is a noble enemy with a highly developed sense of personal honor who is magnaminous in victory. He's also a tactical genius who defeats his enemies by studying artwork from the planet he is about to attack to gain insight into their psychology, then he exploits any weaknesses he's found. The Empire would've been a kinder, gentler place under his rule.
The Shock Trooper is the Galactic Empires unit built for heavy damage towards tanks, turrets, and other objects with large amounts of health. They don't require very good aim, which is good, considering the shot they have is not very precise and your target is almost always moving.
Background I made after reading 'Outcast.' There was this great part where Jag and Jaina mirror an earlier conversation between Han and Leia and it inspired me to make something with all of the Solo/Skywalker women and their guys.

Wedge traces the distress signal to a small blue planet not too far from where the wormhole deposited him.
The planet seems primitive and underdeveloped, but it's the only habitable one he's detected in this system.
Could this be the location of the Falcon?
Wedge tries not to get his hopes up too high.
Wedge: It's extremely difficult to maintain the wormhole that brought us here. The research station's generators were damaged in the battle, and they're only able to keep a miniature version of it open - just big enough to beam a comm signal through. And even THAT can only stay open for another 3 hours. It took so long for us to send a scout through because they had to modify my X Wing with a device that temporarily widens the wormhole long enough for a ship to pass through!
We were hoping that the Falcon would still be spaceworthy when we found her. There is a shuttle that has also been modified to widen the wormhole standing by as a contigency in case we couldn't bring the Falcon back, I could call for them...but even with their help, I'm not sure that there's enough time to repair the Falcon AND rescue Chewbacca! Once the wormhole closes, we may never find our way back to our own place and time ever again!
Han: (Sigh) This is getting complicated! I'm not leaving my ship OR my first mate behind! Call for the shuttle, I'll have to stay here and direct them in the repairs, nobody else knows the Falcon like I do , they'll be lost trying to fix her without me. YOU are going to rescue Chewie, I'll feed the coordinates he's at to your fighter. You should be more than a match for these people- they don't even have blasters or hyperdrives!
In old EU/ Legends Imperial Inqusitors was a secret division of Imperial Intelligence consisting of dark side Force-sensitive agents known as Inquisitors (sometimes also as Inquisitioners), or "truth officers".
Under the control of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, these Inquisitors were considered the highest-ranking of the Dark Side Adepts, outranking the Emperor's Hands, Prophets of the Dark Side, and lesser Dark Jedi. They reported directly to the Emperor, although they were officially classified as part of Imperial Intelligence. For a time, they were made subservient to Ferus Olin.

so I was looking through a book of mine and wishing that hasbro would make more figures from the expanded universe - especially a nice crimson pd lurrian protocol droid
fast forward a couple of days and I stumble across the 'droid factory' collection of figures ... including this guy!
spooky!
apparently he was on hoth?! he's paired up with han solo in his cold weather gear. if you collect all six of the sets you can build yourself c-3px (the c-3po-lookalike assassin droid)
but the other sets are all ... meh :P
Based on the Rebel Nebulon-B Medical Frigate used in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. I envision this to be a New Jedi Order era ship made by the New Republic and Galactic Alliance alongside the Nebula-Class Destroyer as part of the same naval modernization program during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
