1.2 Build update on Kid Malamash (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker) and Mika (Dark Horse Comics - Star Wars: Republic)
1:18 scale.
Figure frames made from store bought figures. Will sculpt using Aves FIXIT Sculpt - A two-part epoxy.
The first two new figures in the works for 2025 and more to come!
I spoke of Kid Malamash in earlier posts. Just a strange and fun looking alien creature from the Star Wars universe. The creature creators for the sequels had a fun time and were very creative!
I may break out my vac forming tools to create the clear dome or I may purchase a glass, clear dome from Etsy.
Mika isn't a new custom so to speak...I actually started a Mika figure back in 2009!
I found her original figure frame and decided she needs a complete overhaul…so I’m creating a new frame using a BFS female blank, dremeled down to include some additional articulation.
Good news with Mika - I’ve finished the head sculpt! I even painted it!!! Earth shattering I know! However I did it back in 2010 LOL!
Took some new images of the hand painted sculpt and I’m really satisfied with it! Needs a tad of TLC with some brush strokes through the hair but overall I think her head sculpt is good to go. I may do a smiling head sculpt as an alternative.
So off to a fun start I think
Expect more updates soon on these two along with existing projects and yea, a few more new ones that should keep me busy for the year
