■ This is my awesome Panasonic Lumix TZ7 (ZS3 in the US) Point-and-shoot digital camera, which was released to the market in 2009. NOT FOR SALE.
(Note: Don't forget to check my own usual settings with a few comments, in the "Comments" section below this Description, it might prove very useful to you)
It's a real gem of a camera, which took the market by surprise in 2009 with its cutting-edge, state-of-the art features such as a truly unbelievable 12x zoom range, from an ultra wide-angle 25 mm (when other similar cameras were struggling to have a much narrower 28 mm) all the way to a very long 300 mm telephoto, all of this made possible thanks to its truly awesome Leica Vario-Elmar zoom 25-300 mm F3.3-4.9.
The combination of lens & firmware corrected all aberrations and distortions so you'd find yourself with a near-perfect lens with no chromatic aberrations, no linear distortions, fast at the 300 mm end (F4.9), and optically stabilized so you could use that 300 mm handheld and still get a sharp pic even at very low shutter speeds. Matter of fact, I've been able to take sharp pics at 1/8 and even 1/5 sec. on a regular basis.
If that wasn't enough, it also has truly excellent macro capabilities and excellent High-Definition video, 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second, with zooming and autofocusing possible while recording video, CD-quality Dolby Stereo sound, optical stabilization, and capable of fitting more than 1 hour of video at maximum quality in an 8 Gb card.
And last but not least, let's not forget a tremendous 3" LCD screen of incredible quality and 460.000 pixels where many other models in its class or even superior classes only offer half as many. This makes for excellent viewing and composition of pics and videos, even in bright light.
This camera boasts such an array of advanced functions (face detection, face recognition, many manual controls such as minimum shutter speed and exposure compensation, bracketing, flash burst, high-speed burst, etc) that it's impossible to even mention them all here so I won't try.
What's really important is that thanks to its excellent lens & firmware, its excellent 10 Mpixel sensor (where current models offer an outrageous 12 Mpixel or more which can only result in increased noise and decreased IQ), and its vast array of advanced capabilities, this camera delivers truly excellent image quality and it's bound to become a cult classic in the future.
You'll find hundreds of pics taken with it here in my Flickr sets, including macros, landscapes, long tele shots, night shots, actions shots, the works. If you use proper technique and lots of ingenuity you'll find that you can do truly amazing, not-that-obvious things with it such as multiexposure, painting with light, achieving DSLR quality, etc. As they say, the sky's the limit.
For your convenience, this particular Flickr set collects about 250 high-quality pictures shot with it:
The above picture was taken with my other camera, a BenQ DC C62, in available artificial light with a small blue penlight for the lens barrel highlights.

A sparrow grabs onto a metal stick readying self for flight.
I am mostly attracted to how the angle of its tail and body echo with the rope and metal structure it is standing on. The metal structure is used as man made bones for a young tree at the promenade (I am not exactly sure what they are called, but I am certain that the biologists from my extensive social media network would know better).
Every time I post photographs of birds, I am surprised by how loved they are by humans, so I will try to post more of these in the future, now that I realize that the 100-400 makes for an excellent macro lens.

The praying mantis reminds me of some "alien" representations in the movies. Triangular head & powerful fast predator. The behavior to give nightmares comes from the adult female, who sometimes eats her mate just after or during mating. This behavior seems to not deter reproductive behaviour from the male!
I've always thought of them as a useful insect, as they do not eat the plants of farmers & gardeners. They are carnivore, eating other insects.

EDIT: Although I didn't get excellent macro photos of the ladybird, I'm sure it had only the two spots, so most likely Adalia bipunctata but sorry I'm not certain... seeking advice from experts & can provide some extra shots upon request?

My camera is Ricoh CX5 (a five-year-old compact camera). All I did was to point and shoot, but this camera has an excellent macro + zoom. The blossoms are approx. four meters high.

I don't think I had really heard of HDR when I made this one. But I was already interested in doing stuff with a picture after I'd taken it :-). And that Sony of mine had excellent macro capabilities.
Check it out on black [L] or at 1250 x 800 pixels.
About this shot
Wandering along the beach in Boulogne sur Mer (Cote d'Opale, France) I found this bottle...
This is my tiny Nikon P300 showcasing its excellent Macro settings, focussing at 3 cm. This is a 'simple' JPG conversion, since the P300 doesn't shoot RAW - Ger! ;-)
THX for viewing folks! Faves and comments are always welcome! Have a nice day.

At last a bit of fun! This one really has been long in the making, folks. It didn't turn out perfect, but I'm not displeased with the result nevertheless.
The excellent macro photo of the wasp was taken by f4ke ID (you can see the original here)
The run-down old house in the background I found on Google and I forgot to note the source (doh!)
The planet was created by me in Photoshop, and is probably the one element that the picture could do without. But I just wanted to use it again!
Thank you all for your comments, unfortunatly weather is too hot in Kuwait now a days, over 48C most of the time dusty so just sit at the computer desk & read your comments again and again. Thank you all.

Most of my pics are manualfocus adapting manual old lenses (gems) to digital bodies (Oly300, Nex5). I'm quite slow and happy of this balance I've found..
In this case the camera is my beloved and (very) old Oly C5050Z, only 5M and very slow, but with a fantastic sharp and bright (f1,8) zoom lens, titanium black body, small tilting monitor and ... 64ASA!!! and excellent macro capablities: 3cm! ... you can find it as bargain
