My nephew brought this in for me to photograph the other day ... excellent macro for both of us working handheld!

As bright as pearls.

As united as wave of a spider.

As beautiful as mother nature.

And..

As fresh as first morning dew.

Captured from Jhenaidah, Bangladesh, with my kit lens. This EF-S kit lens has excellent macro capability, which feature is unavailable in other kit lenses.

Vega-11U 50mm f2.8 enlarger lens from soviet era. Even wide open it is razor sharp and has veru flat field. Colors depends on lighting. On sunny day as this one they are strong and saturated.

With appropriate helicoid adapter it may be used as slower all arround lens, but it goves best reults for close ups. Excellent macro lens.

It could be used for landscape and street photography. It is not as sharp as in close distances (as the most of others EL) but still contraty and sharp.

The flowers have very nice flagrance ♡

So... Sunday, I met up with Stevie and Jim, who are down here from Scotland with their little pup Roobz, terrorizing the local flora and fauna for a week or so. Excellent macro session around Westhay. This is one of Stevie's finds, a nice tick. There's a spider in there too, but he's a little camera shy. :@)

The cacti were blooming at Desert Botanical Gardens. I was so fixated on getting a full photo of this flower that I missed the "picture in the picture". Looking at this now, I see a spider on the petal and I see detail in the stigmas that would have made excellent macros.

Classifying these Echinocereus cacti can be a challenge. A primary difference is the spines and I have not really shown enough detail to truly identify this specimen. I believe from other observations that this is Fendler's Hedgehog (Echinocereus fendleri) but which is very similar to Pink-flowered Hedgehog (E. fasciculatus) and Bonker's Hedgehog (E. bonkerae)

Desert Botanical Garden has an incredible collection of plants and cacti arranged in a beautiful park setting.

"Think the desert is all dirt and tumbleweeds? Think again. Desert Botanical Garden is home to thousands of species of cactus, trees and flowers from all around the world spread across 55 acres in Phoenix, Arizona."

Have a Happy.. peaceful Sunday.. thanks for looking..

Info Source..

Wingspan.. Male: 58 - 70mm.. Female: 62 - 74mm

'This species is a migrant to our shores and, in some years, the migration can be spectacular. The most-recent spectacle, in 2009, is considered to be one of the greatest migrations ever, with sightings from all over the British Isles that are definitely on a par with previous cardui years.

This species originates from north Africa, and it has been suggested that the urge to migrate is triggered when an individual encounters a certain density of its own kind within a given area. This theory makes perfect sense, since this species can occur in high densities that result in foodplants being stripped bare on occasion with many larvae perishing as a result.

Unfortunately, this species is unable to survive our winter in any stage. This is a real shame, for not only does this species often arrive in large numbers, but is a welcome sight as it nectars in gardens throughout the British Isles in late summer'..

It's not as sharp as what I would prefer. An amateur shot. Hope you like it and have a lovely Tuesday.

Chinese Water Dragon taken back in March with Miles Herbert & Captive Light Photography - excellent Macro Day!

I think Patience is one of the key elements in photography. You will get your desired shot sooner or later. Wildlife photographers are master in this.

For these shots had to try for three days. But I think it worth it. These ants were thirsty. And these are plain water. But You can use sugar water.

Taken from my roof. So I haven't had to travel anywhere for this.

Had a lot of time to observe. And I could focus only on the shot. This is the beauty of macro photography. You don't need to go far. Your subjects are around you may be they are on the roof of your house or at the backyard or maybe inside your head. Yes you could make your own interesting subjects and photograph them in your bedroom, kitchen or bathroom and they could be world class. Many world class macro photographs are taken this way. For example don komarechka takes most of his extraordinary droplet photos from his kitchen. So we shouldn't let immobility our limitation. We could always find something everywhere

The Seagate Pipeline 2 HD out of my video HDR failed last month after 6 years of continues service.

Excellent Macro Monday opportunity to take it apart.

Tech is so cheap, a new replacement HD cost me only 36 euro.
