The EX3 mostly for my street photography….

I'll take a quiet life

A handshake of carbon monoxide

Not far from Württemberg and Baden

From Bavaria and lovely Switzerland

A mountain rises, high exalted

And his Name is 'Hohenzoller'

Looking down so and stern and bold

On all passersby

At Hohenzollern's steep crags

Where harmony resides undauntedly

I've given all I can

But we're still on the payroll

- Nuertingen captured with the Milky Way in the background

The dog is waiting when the boss is coming home...

My first irish lace project ever! I'm pretty happy about the result! It's just me or it has something from the traditional Hungarian embroidery?! @;)

Made of recycled italian cotton, bordered with black knitted i-cord. The front is a wide black tulle shawl which makes this vest very versatile:

-let it just hang for a hippie-like look,

-or be a real "femme fatale" and cover Your hair with it,

-You can use the tulle part to protect Your shoulders from breezy nights,

-and also goth girls are welcome with this piece since it can be used as a veil!

Oh YESSS, I'll continue to learn irish lace technique, even if the netting part was killing me a little bit and I'm new to tiny crochet hooks, but when I was finally ready with this waistcoat I felt a satisfaction I never had before... Oh yes, I'm in LOVE! EX3

Special:

- The DeSoto brand was founded by Walter P. Chrysler on August 4, 1928 and introduced for the 1929 model year.

- It was named after the Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto.

- Chrysler wanted to enter the brand in competition with its arch-rivals General Motors, Studebaker and Willys-Knight, in the mid-price class.

- Shortly after DeSoto was introduced this Six Series K (August 4th, 1928), however, Chrysler completed its purchase of the Dodge Brothers (August 31th, 1928), giving the company two mid-priced makes. Had the transaction been completed sooner, DeSoto never would have been introduced.

- The 1949 Custom Series S13 was available as this 4-door Sedan 6-passengers, as 4-door Sedan 7-passengers (342 units built), as 4-door Limousine (120 units built), as 4-door Suburban (129 units built), as 2-door Club Coupé (18,431 units built) and as 2-door Convertible Coupé (3,385 units built).

- The Custom Series S13 (2nd Series), advertised as “The car designed with you in mind”, was assembled in Detroit, Michigan (USA) and in Windsor, Ontario (Canada).

For me the white dove is the symbol of love and peace on earth...

Ha! I was very happy to finally get a few good photos of this bird. This one was about to land on a bird-bath and seems suspended since there is absolutely no wing activity. I think he was a cool type, just cruisin' in ... shut down engines early ...rely on those massive legs to cushion the shock. The only thing that seems to be moving is his feet twitching in readiness to grab.

The other reason for selecting this shot was that it shows the tail reasonably well, with that sometimes-difficult-to-discern dark-blueness.

For a minute there

I lost myself, I lost myself

Phew, for a minute there

Now one of only 2 airlines in the United States to retain their passenger Boeing 757 fleet following COVID-19, United Airlines continues to operate a sizeable fleet of 61 split between the popular Boeing 757-200 used on various domestic and international flights, and the elongated Boeing 757-300 primarily used on domestic flights.

Repaints into United's new EvoBlue colour scheme continues to gather pace, the first Boeing 757-200 received the new livery back in 2021 with 10 currently in the new livery, the total does not include 2 examples that are painted in HerArt variation of the livery. N13138 in particular was well overdue a repaint with noticeable paint peeling by the time she got repainted in mid-2022.

Although United Airlines do have a replacement for the Boeing 757-200 lined up in the form of 50 Airbus A321XLRs and 250 Boeing 737 MAX 10s which will begin entering service from 2023, the carrier is in the process of modernising their interiors to bring them up-to-date alongside their long-haul wide-body fleet, albeit the airframes will not receive new Polaris Business Class seats, retaining the Collins Aerospace Diamond seats but updates include new Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment systems.

Whilst the Boeing 757-200s do have a replacement lined up, the carrier will continue to be a major Boeing 757 operator for a few more years as the Boeing 757-300s do not have a replacement and will receive their NEXT interior refurbishment which is earmarked to be completed by 2025.

Currently, United Airlines operates 61 Boeing 757s, which includes 40 Boeing 757-200s and 21 Boeing 757-300s.

November One Three One Three Eight is one of 40 Boeing 757-200s operated by United Airlines, delivered new to Continental Airlines on 7th December 1999 before transferring over to United Airlines following their respective merger on 1st October 2010 and she is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4B engines.
