Strangely it took me a few months to actually find any Matchbox Land-Rover series singles at ASDA as most of my nearest stores only sold the five vehicle sets. All six castings were winners but I can't deny that one of my favourites was this Range Rover Evoque in this unique non mainline metallic bronze colour which looks just as eye catching as the Burnt Orange debut version. Sleek in its appearance with cool darkened wheels, plenty of fabulous detailing especially badging and as i've now discovered does indeed have an interior hidden underneath that impossibly dark coloured glazing! Mint and boxed.

I have been absolutely thrilled with pretty much all the charity shop found gifts sent my way recently by a good Flikr friend but Im not entirely sure whether sending me a HTI generic was done in error or irony! My disdain for this almost dominant range of generic 1/64 castings which have infiltrated pretty much every U.K. retailer is very well known and I'm still aghast as to why HTI produce them and why so many of our toy buying departments love them so much when the majority of the buying public don't!
Admittedly this particular casting is deemed fairly acceptable because its clearly if somewhat loosely based on a Range Rover Evoque. It has been heavily modified to ensure no snooping from JLR's legal department but its silhouette is pure Evoque which makes this Fire version seem a tad far fetched. Begrudgingly there are no qualms about its quality, for a cheapo its robustly constructed with full interior and plastic headlamps.
