When he was a college student, Ashley Williams, or "Ash", ventured with friends into a forest and found a cabin. The cabin contained a book of great evil, the Necronomicon, and an equally evil guardian, a Kandarian spirit.
Ash was the only survivor and has vowed to destroy the creature that killed his friends. He searches the areas in Paprihaven that adventuresome types can be found and takes them to the cabin in hopes they can assist him.
Ash is driven and will not rest until the monster is dead. He is not a long term strategist but, with an unusual ability to survive, typically dives in and makes it up as he goes along.
Spawn: Dead assassin cursed by evil forces with supernatural powers who becomes an unlikely hero to the downtrodden.
Ash Williams: Retail employee who replaces his amputated right hand with a chainsaw and becomes an unlikely hero fighting the evil dead.
If they had to fight, who would win?

Machiko shudders. She's felt the evil in this forest since they arrived. Now it is so strong. Why didn't she want to leave?
Machiko: When did you first come here?
With an effortless movement, as easy and light as waltz, Asajj sends Machiko hurtling across the room.
Machiko: URRNFF!!!
Ash: Machiko!
Machiko: Ash? Ash, is that you?
The danger of warps is that they go both ways. You can travel through them... and other things...
Machiko: It's so hot. Can we start shooting and finish this scene and go back inside?
Asajj: Paprika is readying the equipment.
Machiko: Ugh. So hot.
Ash: (on the phone) Yeah... I know Sam... but you've got to get out of here. Get me back into one of your movies. This Paprika doesn't know what she's doing!
Machiko: It's some sort of presence that will attack soon but with your mystic abilities I believe we can form a strategy.
Asajj: ...
Ash: The book?
Machiko: No talk! She dies! Woman, I've been wanting to hurt you since I saw you! You showed some good moves but now I school you in pain!
Machiko: Asajj! You're back. I know you're upset but we have to put that aside. Ash was telling me about what we'll be up against in just a few hours.
Ash: Hey Asajj! Yeah, listen, we need a plan to- wait.. the book?
Here's a repaint I did of the NECA Ultimate Leatherface figure's chainsaw into a somewhat close approximation of the chainsaw used in promotional images for the original Evil Dead film.
It's not an exact match for a Homelite Super EZ Automatic but it has enough similarities I think.

Machiko: Asajj? What's wrong? What is this book? I don't understand.

With no further interference from the forest, the trio makes quick time. Ash knows the way by heart. They push through the last bit of heavy brush and find themselves in a clearing. And it is there. As always. Upon sight of the cabin adrenaline rises in Ash. Gone is the weariness. Back are the painful memories. He is driven.
Ash (thinking): There it is. Always the same. I don't think I've ever had help as tough as these two. But will it be enough? If it isn't, what have I gotten them into?
Asajj: Go in. I'll join you shortly.
Machiko (thinking): She can't even come in with us. She knows I'm holding his hand. She knows he's chosen me.
Machiko: My eyes! AAAHH!! I can't see!! She blinded me!!
VVMMMMMMM.....
Asajj: The book.
Ash: Yeah... okay... don't hurt her any more...
Ash: Oh, man. Lady, what are we doing down here!? I'm not trying to get one over on you, I'm just telling you straight up. We don't want that book!
Asajj: Oh, but I do. Where is it?

Once they ran out of parents and uncles and kind aunts

But for self preservation, since the two were just one,
they took turns with the needle and sewed those lips shut.

Only Machiko's reflexes saved her from decapitation. And that barely. A lesser woman would be dead.

Ash: Aw, great! Forgot she had those!
This LEGO creation was the one that gave me the most fun building it. It unites two things that I love - The Ferrari 250 GTO and the movie Vanilla Sky.
This car is a representation of the one that appears in the movie driven by Tom Cruise.
It’s all build out of Lego parts… even the stickers are Lego.
And, yeah, it’s a black Ferrari! Not red! Isn’t it a beauty?

But the warp has expanded too quickly. The tentacles of energy grasp the brave adventurer and pull him.
Ash: NO! I'm so close!!!
With the embrace and kiss everything changes. The heavy presence of the forest, the mystery of the cabin, all are gone. There is now only her and her man. Machiko smiles as she pictures Asajj out in the cold night alone. But Machiko has him in her arms now. A predator always catches her prey.
Gung Ho: "URF!"
Ash: "Yeah! This is more like it! You punks ain't no cellar full of Deadites but you'll do for a warm-up!"
Muskrat: "GNNGH!"
Clutch: "Unbelievable! We need more people!"
Shockwave: "Or... maybe we should just shoot him?"
Charbroil: "General Flagg wants him alive! Keep goin! Take him down!"
Ash: *sniff* *sniff* "I'm smellin some good tender meat inside that bunker! HAHA!"
