Respect to the new Ash vs Evil Dead TV series. I've enjoyed it a lot. I created my own version of the wallpaper picture.
Technical details: My sony a6000 camera was on a joby tripod close to the ground and looking up. The lens was a 16mm pancake lens with a fisheye adapter (VCL-ECF1). Self-timer (10 sec) was used to take this self portrait. A manual flash was radio triggered (JJC). After slight cropping and resizing the contrast was increased and the color was changed a bit.

Made in 2021, A diorama crossover between Evil Dead and Stranger Things. The Ash figure is called "Groovy Slasher", and was made by Minifigures.com.

Gung Ho: Too quiet...
Wild Bill: All the gunfire has moved over to the north corner. Must have them holed up there.
Gung Ho: They're gonna die.
Wild Bill: Not if we can get out in time and blow the top. They're smart getting to that part of the cavern. Defensible until they run out of ammo. So we gotta hurry.
Gung Ho: But too quiet... I think some of them things are hiding here...
Well, here's my feeble attempt at recreating the original Evil Dead movie poster. If you have a REALLY SUPER HD monitor this just might look terrible, lol, I tried anyway.
Few pieces of info to note. The hands in the foreground were not added in with Photoshop, those were in camera when I shot this. I have two of the Ed Getley figures and had one standing on either side of the camera when I took this. Ash is the Ultimate Evil Dead 2 figure released a few years ago, but I was never happy with the skin tone they used so when I got a few new Ash figures from the boxed set I swapped the torso out from inside the shirt so I could use the new heads without the neck being a totally different color. Next, the hands are actually from the recent Ultimate Part 2 Jason figure NECA put out and that was necessary so Ash could hold the chainsaw. Speaking of the chainsaw, that is the NECA Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Beginning Leatherface's chainsaw that I repainted to look more gory.
I tried to emulate the pose Bruce used for the cover as best I could but this figures arms are very hindered with the shoulders of his shirt. You can see how out of shape they are when I pushed his arms up as hard as possible. I used real film poster credits taken from a picture of the film poster and then typed the Stephen King quote manually. All things considered and not having a stand in for terrified Linda, I think this turned out well. Took me an hour to find an Evil Dead font as a transparency to use as well. Anyway, hope you all like it!
General Flagg: Alright, you sod grass sour apple, you'll get your gun and we're gonna see if you're gonna shoot them critters or we're gonna shoot you!
Ash: Look, I'm fine staying right here.
General Flagg: Get him up, Snake Eyes!
This LEGO creation was the one that gave me the most fun building it. It unites two things that I love - The Ferrari 250 GTO and the movie Vanilla Sky.
This car is a representation of the one that appears in the movie driven by Tom Cruise.
It’s all build out of Lego parts… even the stickers are Lego.
And, yeah, it’s a black Ferrari! Not red! Isn’t it a beauty?

As in the Bamboo Boogaloo, Machiko releases her rage, going into the red. She launches herself at the woman with a speed and fury that few could even react to. Asajj, however, with perfect economy of movement, humbles her again.

Well, the new Evil Dead 2 figure set was just released not too long ago and well, being a LONG time fan of the Evil Dead series I just HAD to get it.
So here he is! It's been nearly twenty years since McFarlane released their Army of Darkness Ash, which is basically the same as Ash from the end of Evil Dead 2, and it's amazing to see where we are now.
Thing is, it took a long time to get as accurate AND as articulated as this figure is and while I wish it didn't take this long, the end result is damn near perfect.
Seen here is Ash with his more stern faced headsculpt sporting his mighty chainsaw as he hefts his equally mighty boomstick!
About the only REAL issues I have with this figure are the left hand for the shotgun is pretty terrible with fingers that can barely hold the shotgun...which is why I swapped it out with a repainted hand from an Ash Vs. Evil Dead figure's hand. Additionally, he is still missing his wristwatch. Last, while this figure looks amazing in this picture, there seems to be a pretty wide gap in quality of paints. I bought two of this figure set and one loose Ash via eBay and managed to get enough parts to make two really good Ash's with only one of this particular headsculpt being any good. Still, I am very happy to add this to my collection.
