Every garden needs a rose! This, too, is our garden...and actually, we have four rose bushes in our garden! My husband knows just how much I love roses, so he included four rose bushes! Hope you enjoy!

"Sólo cuando se ha dado suelta al antropoide y él ha liberado lo poco que le queda de tal, la mujer y el hombre vuelven a verse como ciudadanos, desasistidos ya de toda boscosidad, desvalidos de la cultura, arrojados del paraíso, convertidas en libros todas las manzanas del árbol de la ciencia. Ahora estamos más a gusto, pero más tristes. Melancólicos. Los latinistas lo laman tristeza post coitum. Es que se ha ido el antropoide."
Every time that I see two or more people looking together at the screen of a smartphone, my guess is often like this - "They're most likely viewing some interesting video clips." Thus, when I saw these two girls in their early teens whose eyes are glued to the smartphone screen, the thought that readily came to my mind is, "They most probably viewing some nice and entertaining videos."
However, I found out later that my guess is completely wrong. This was when I talked to the girl holding the phone just after a few minutes of taking this shot. She showed me not any video clip, but a long series of color photos which, she explained, she wanted her friend to see. And those photos were taken not by other people but by herself with her phone camera.
I then thought that yet another photographer is born!
Captured in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.
An orange hibiscus belonging to my neighbour. I absolutely love the small droplets of water on the filament! =)
Such a blessing to be able to feel and see all the wonders that God has created!
A simple quote for each of you - "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are endless"
Thanks for the views and comments!! Have a pleasant day/ night and a fantastic weekend!!
Takecare and God bless!!!
Every city has it's vibe, but London is something else...Something different...It challenges you to learn it better...

Every year between mid-September and mid-October Van Diemen Quality Bulbs on Table Cape, open their farm to the public to see the beautiful array of colour. Table Cape is the remains of a large extinct volcano, and the soil is rich in nutrients.

We'll start here with a fairly conventional view.
Every year I look forward to being able to take festive-themed photos again. Then, by the time Christmas actually arrives, I'm longing for spring!

Every season has something about it worth appreciating. When the temperatures drop and ice forms outside, I cross my fingers and hope for photo worthy subjects.
On this cold and dreary day, I found a chunk of ice that had sealed tiny treasures in its jagged edges. Thank you, Mother Nature!
Every Christmas it’s the same. My Dad wants me to do something. Last year I had to sit in front of the Christmas tree. This year, it’s a footy shot. Well when your Dad shoots footy it was only to be expected he’d try a shot like this for Christmas one year. I wouldn’t mind, but for a little dog like me the ball is a problem. I just can’t wrap my head around it—I mean that quite literally. And why does he keep shouting “Go for a mark, go for a mark”? All I see is this bloody great pill and I don’t know what to do about it.
But enough of my whinging. The real purpose of me being here is “Sherrin” some Christmas greetings with you all and “woofing” you a happy 2019.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Shot on the west side of Oahu. I haven't been to this hidden spot in a few years. The last time I was in the exact same location and a big wave absolutely blasted me killing my 14mm 2.8L prime. I hesitantly returned this past weekend with a new 14mm 2.4 prime that I was using for the very first time. I'm pretty happy with the result.
Every which direction I looked another photographer was in the way. Luckily for me this chap was stood in exactly the right place for the composition.
Every day I leave my praxis at lunchtime, grab my camera and walk through the city of Bochum, Germany just for one hour.
Trying to get a good shot, which is not so simple, because it is NOT a nice city !!!
Every time I see hollyhocks I remember one of my early Flickr friends who just loved these flowers. She has moved away and no longer posts photos on Flickr, but I still remember her.
“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself.”

Every 10th month
Of every year
The spooks come out
They come curiously near
Mostly at night
When your mind is at rest
When the spooky spooks
Are at their spooky best
No need to hide
No need to run
The spooky ones
Just want some fun
So if you must
So if you dare
Don't want a spook
To give you a scare
Leave them cookies
Of lizards and jellies
Spiders and sugar
To fill their bellies
Every Atlantan is talking about this today. Last Thursday during rush hour a section of northbound I-85 caught fire. Luckily nobody was injured. But I-85 is a major artery and commutes, never pleasant, will be affected for months until the bridge is rebuilt.
Today was a beautiful sunny Sunday, perfect for people to walk or bike to the site to gawk.

Every once in a while a dragonfly will take pity on me. like this Blue Dasher, and grant me a halfway decent opportunity to grab a quick shot before it darts away.
Wonder if getting his shadow counts as two for the price of one?
