Located in the Bullfinch Building, the oldest structure at Mass General Hospital, the Ether Dome was the hospital's main operating room from 1818 to 1868. Over 8,000 operations were performed in this operating theatre; the most famous of which took place on October 16, 1846. The operation on that day was the first in which ether was used as an anaesthetic.

Ether Inductor is a kind of game system that deals with the sensitive perception of distance between people. The creators have developed a technology that detects distance between people and delicate motion and they apply human machine interface (HMI) technology and methods for measuring action in their design.

"The only statue dedicated to a gas", the Ether Monument on Boston Public Garden commemorates the discovery of Ether and the start of a new era in surgery. A statue of a physician and an unconscious patient under his care top off the monument.

This set was taken on a 3.5 day trip to Seattle, WA. In those days I managed to travel to the Hoh Rainforest on the west side, and to the Snow Lake trail to the east.

It rained non-stop which in turn created some of the most beautiful fog and color contrast I've ever witnessed.
