stupas (chortens) are shaped to symbolise the five elements of nature; earth (for rectangular base), water (circular part above the base), fire (the conical part), air (crescent over the top) and ether (medium to which a body converts after death!, is the top most oval). the stupa represents the buddha's body, his speech and his mind, but most especially his mind and every part shows the path to enlightenment.

Ether Inductor is a kind of game system that deals with the sensitive perception of distance between people. The creators have developed a technology that detects distance between people and delicate motion and they apply human machine interface (HMI) technology and methods for measuring action in their design.

There are a bunch of young 'actors' appearing at Alnwick Gardens , based around a literary theme (I think) who entertain the visitors, particularly the kids. The bunch played Hide and Seek with my kids in the walled garden and made the day brilliant for them. This guy goes by the name soliloquy and features in a few adverts for the Gardens. Its a wonderful place to visit if you are ever in Northumberland.
