"At times it sees that the search for good health has taken all the pleasure out of life. It has stripped us of butter, cream, marbled red meat, pork, and goose fat, not to mention alcohol and fine, hand-rolled cigars. And just when you settle on your favorite healthful fish, you're told it's laced with mercury. Sometimes it feels as though we would be better off being less healthy and enjoying life. But then, miraculously, there is olive oil. Olive oil, it seems, is the only really good food we are still allowed."

Mark Kurlansky from "Essential Oil," Bon Appétit, November 2008

Probably my fave JET SET doll =) IT did a wonderfull work on her

(it sucks that her shoes are plastic, but it has been said this is a "basic" collection, so I do understand the plastic shoes, in order to keep the price range acceptable...)

Vetiver (a) has a heavy, earthy fragrance similar to patchouli with a touch of lemon. Vetiver oil is psychologically grounding, calming, and stabilizing. Sponsor ID 1069994

We used to always have some hand cleanser at home but now it appears that we continually wash our hands followed by hand gel.

Oh, how times have changed but nowadays it has become more essential!

I think I need to get my camera cleaned, It doesn't matter what I do but my images doesn't get as clear as they used to and I have to admit I have never had it cleaned....Shame on me! lol Anyway, instead of dragging my kids to school on a Saturday I decided to shoot some school essentials. I know that alot of kids start back at school now, but mine are looking forward to their summer holiday still. And as it's the first day of spring here today it's slowly getting closer to a good break 8)

We stopped for the "essential" fried pies.

I just watched the documentary "The Social Dilemma"

Flickr was my first source of social media as a young kid. Everything else has changed my mindset in so many negative ways. I want to get rid of all of my social media platforms, but quite honestly I am scared of missing out. Or not staying connected.

Has anyone shut down their other platforms? How has it benefited your life?

I have standards..!!

All I needed was some nail polish remover..!!😂💅😘💋

I have a toy box for little Zara and of course her flashlight is an essential whenever she visits.

Diptychs

Digital Composite Photos

Here, I laid down a white sheet and got a backpack I usually use to carry my camera stuff around when I'm traveling. I liked the way the faded blue looked against the white so I just boosted the saturation a bit for that effect. Next, I laid down a bunch of random stuff I would usually carry in the bag, and created a little bit of a clutter. Which, I actually like because there's a lot to look at, but at the same time it is not too distracting. Also, a very important point is the orange foam piece of the GoPro case. I think it really helps the photo pop because everything else is pretty monotone. Altogether, I think it works well.

For the diptychs assignment, this photo is obviously not a new setup, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I really like the whole concept of how the bags insides are revealed. It says a lot more than just a single photo of a faded blue backpack.

I had fancied a day in Staffordshire, primarily to catch up with the batch of rebodied vehicles that were then being run by Midland Red North.

Their 1720 (WPH 122Y) was an example. A Leyland Tiger, new originally to London Country with an ECW coach body, this had been selected by British Bus as part of a rebodying programme that saw buses fitted with new East Lancs bus bodies. Once rebodied, they were then cascaded on for further service, in this case to MRN.

On a separate point, I've remarked before how the viewing of these images at a fuller size has suddenly highlighted peripheral subject matter that I had previously just never registered. And so it is with the poster on the adjacent bus shelter, advertising an, er, "educational" video.

GB Railfreight Class 92, 92028 glides south in the early morning sun at Winsford with the Caledonian Sleeper Up Highlander (1M16).

A revised timetable was in operation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with only the Inverness and Glasgow portions running and splitting/joining at Edinburgh to form one train in each direction on the WCML. 92028 had also worked the Glasgow-Edinburgh portion (1C16) prior to working 1M16 from Waverley to Euston.

MISSING ITEMS: Underwear

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I absolutely adore Barbie underwear sets! When I was a little girl, these sorts of lingerie/underwear fashions were a true novelty to own. Admittedly, they were typically only used on the "villains" of my sister and my doll games. I'm not really sure why, but we always got a kick out of making our bad guys scantily clad. This set of undies is super sweet looking though. It really doesn't look risky at all, unlike the leopard set my sister and I found at a flea market growing up (which by the way looks totally awesome on one of my Britney Spears dolls). I think that I might have actually played with this set on my main character when I was younger. In fact, I think that these pastel stripes would have flattered my favorite doll, Sparkling Jasmine, flawlessly. Although Jas wouldn't have fit this set, since she is on a busty 1966 Twist 'n Turn body, whereas this was sewn for a 1999 body. Alternatively though, this would have also looked refreshingly adorable on one of my other personal favorite dolls, Heidi, aka Travel in Style Barbie (who would have actually fit it)!

After looking for this granary for the day i had given up trying but after talking with some others out at cedar mesa i had gotten some ideas as to its location and was able to find them. it was such a high for me on my trip!

A pet can be an essential during home isolation. My cat Mini Moose is such a companion although cats are notoriously self reliant and only seem to be attentive when it suits them. Most of the time they are either sleeping or...sleeping. And when they're not sleeping, they are eating, followed by another session of sleeping because the act of eating is very tiring! Haha
