"...because by trying to make her love him he ended up falling in love with her.”

One Hundred Years of Solitude
As a photographer you take photos because you are recording what your eye is seeing at the time and for me I use this medium as an art form, and from time to time I get goose bumps when I look through the view finder and see something out of the ordinary, and this is one of those shots.
I took this one this morning at around 7.00am my first sunrise outing for some time and to come back with this kind of shot made it all worth while, it even shows up some cobweb strands, and I just LOVE that water droplet at the tip of that thorn!
I used to love* the smell of 2-Mercaptoethanol in the morning.

*this may not be entirely truthful. Nobody could love the smell of βME.
Frangies in my garden, taken this arvie.
They smell wonderful, but if I pick them and float them in a pretty bowl of water to fragrance indoors, they don't last long.
Frangipanis, known elsewhere as Plumeria.
In Hawaii, they are made into necklaces, called 'Leis', like a daisy chain and everyone wears these.
Even the guys, but in a more manly style ;)
An amazing, traditional 'fashion accessory' in the humid, warm climate.
When I was there, the coolness of the petals on one's skin and inhaling the constant sweet perfume was so intoxicating and refreshing.
What a beautiful thing to do.
Other flowers are used too, like the arabian jasmine for the pikake lei, all depending upon the occasion, or message when given as a gift.

Could the essence of the universe not equally be captured in a symphony, or unfolded within the poetry of architecture?
Edgar Varese, has written that "music is the corporealization of thought”- I SAY - so is photography.

Thanks to a friend I was blessed to have a brief encounter with this gentle young soul. Lens was almost fully extended and image is cropped; I was not as close as it might seem.

.. at least for me While travelling for about three weeks across Namibia we encountered some wonderful landscapes and wildlife. This is the way up to Sossusvlei, a dry pan with dead old trees in Sossusvlei National Park near Sesriem, Namibia. Your comments and faves are welcome!
I would be grateful for an identification from any of you fungi experts! :o) No, I didn't eat them... they deserve to be left where they are. View from the top below..... thank you!!!
View of black, if you have time. Click photo and then F11... and F11 to return.
Someone had hung some white(ish) material from a tree, probably as a makeshift tent and the evening lighted sky was shining through.
