Strobist ~ One Light, at left ~Canon Speedlite 580EX II ~ CS Shoot Through Umbrella ~ Triggered by Pocketwizards Plus II and Mini TT
This was such an amazing shoot, a big thank you to Yolit, who braved the rain and was a true trooper. This shot reminded me of the poem The Lady of Shalott, (below is a small selection of it)
The Lady of Shalott,
Part iii First published in 1833.
"And moving thro' a mirror clear
That hangs before her all the year,
Shadows of the world appear.
There she sees the highway near
Winding down to Camelot:
There the river eddy whirls,
And there the surly village-churls, [7]
And the red cloaks of market girls,
Pass onward from Shalott.
Sometimes a troop of damsels glad,
An abbot on an ambling pad,
Sometimes a curly shepherd-lad,
Or long-hair'd page in crimson clad,
Goes by to tower'd Camelot;
And sometimes thro' the mirror blue
The knights come riding two and two:
She hath no loyal knight and true,
The Lady of Shalott."
Alfred, Lord Tennyson 1883
Bedroom Jumpmaster in flight.
A fun shot for today.
Go Airborne!
Available light, no flash. (hence the high iso)
I wanted to take a moment to thank Nathan Harrison aka espressotime for his invitation to be a part of Project Wall52. As I find myself unable to crank out my “normal” images in less than a week, the act of signing up makes me get out and shoot more. What I’m really thanking you for, Nathan, is bringing me back to the simple act and pure joy of making a photograph.
I sat for a while in half-lotus soaking up light as a flower drinking the sun's rays. As the breath slowed, I sank deeper into a warm stillness, where inner harmony dwells.

Lunch break at Glen Echo where I found this structure screaming HDR me, so I did.
This time I didn't go for a realistic feel, but a retro HDRish one. Such a look is called for, when the clouds are low, and an iconic structure with red lines just happens to be there.
Hand held 3 shots, bracketed to make this HDR, and warmed it up a bit.
