I'll tell you a story that happened to me

One day as I went down to Cork by the sea

The sun it was hot and the day it was warm,

Says I a quiet pint wouldn't do me no harm

I went in and I called for a bottle of stout

Says the barman, I'm sorry, all the beer is sold out

Try whiskey or paddy, ten years in the wood

Says I, I'll try cider, I've heard it was good.

Oh never, Oh never, Oh never again

If I live to be a hundred or a hundred and ten

I fell to the ground and I couldn't get up

After drinking a quart of the Johnny Jump Up...

...So if ever you go down to Cork by the sea

Stay out of the ale house and take it from me

If you want to stay sane don't you dare take a sup

Of that devil drink cider called Johnny Jump Up

Johnny Jump Up, Traditional drinking song.

Lekhah Dodi Verse 3:

Sanctuary of the king, royal city,

Arise! Leave from the midst of the turmoil;

Long enough have you sat in the valley of tears

And He will take great pity upon you compassionately.

While walking in the woods the rain lightly fell, the sound of leaves under feet stopped as I stood to listen. The silence was broken with the wonderful sound of a rushing stream, the sound of life, of seasons change, the sound of a moment to be remembered.

Project Wall52 Completed.

52 weeks just flew by, another year long photographic endeavor challenge is put to rest with this image.

What a way to end this project, Baby Maya is one week old today. This project, being far less painful then the good old 365, had its own challenges.

In the previous 365, I could shoot just about anything, here I had to only post a shot that I felt was intended to be up on a wall, or of that wall quality, not an easy task to do every week. This year is full of changes, challenges and sleepless nights. As some of you know, I went back to school early this year in an intense professional photography course at Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts (BUCDIA) in DC. Its amazing to me what can be achieved in one year. Thank you to my growing family, friends and those who graced my lens, with out you all it wouldn't be possible. I want to thank as well those who joined me on this 52 week endeavor in our group, those who followed it along, especially eyewitness who co created this group and Idea, and is completing the Wall52 as well. Thank you, you are all an inspiration to me, and a consistent wind in my sails.

Cheers!

Father's Day 2011, was a spinning workout for daddy. Holding the camera with two hands, my wife on my back, holding my daughter we all span round and round as I clicked away. Fun times, Happy Fathers Day.

I was inspired by "Spin me!" in the Flickr Blog, and I just had to try it.

Last day of summer vacation party with friends, now back to school.

House Music in my ears. Tonight I decided to try something different, break the rules, play with curves, and exposure. Wanted to convey music, and how deep it goes.

Severe Thunderstorm warnings in effect tonight, let it rain.

Happy FDT, (Face down Tuesday)

Walking the dog (or being dragged by one) on a Tuesday might turn some heads in the park from now on.

I have to thank my 7yo daughter for waving around crackers to get my dog to tug on the leash, He was looking at me mostly like: " What in the F&%#ing world is wrong with you? this is embarrassing, get up master, please!"

Visual, and sensory simple pleasures.

These last days of summer seem to fly away so fast. What a gift it is to be active in the great outdoors...Then a summer thunder storm, and the dreaded Nintedo DS battle commences. Just try and talk to my kids mid game, and they will agree to anything nod or just gaze at the flickering screen, total communication breakdown.

Storm is over...waiting for the batteries to deplete.

Simple, a good blade a reliable time piece and a good leather wallet.

Fooling around with a Canon 90mm Tilt Shift. The watch is an Ivicta, and the 24mm P-style watch band was ordered separately.

"...And I want to walk with you

On a cloudy day

In fields where the yellow grass grows knee-high

So won't you try to come?

Come away with me and we'll kiss

On a mountaintop

Come away with me

And I'll never stop loving you"

~Come Away With Me lyrics

Finding new ways to shoot this great monument is always a fun challenge. This time silhouettes of the visitors under the great statue tying in the human factor caught my eye.
