Gone for vacation, see yaa
The movie "Walk of Shame" wasn't the most brilliant comedy of 2014, but it was rich in Los Angeles filming locations. Meghan (Elizabeth Banks) zigzagged the streets of L.A., mostly on foot, to try and make the most important job interview at the TV News Station. Kinda like "Anchorman" meets "The Out of Towners".
And right here we go...
The fire escape outside the bar when she meets Gordon is the alley behind the business at 833 S. Spring Street, L.A.
These kids were relentless....any attempt to end the fun they were having and they were on to this poor fella like flies to honey.... This is no less than his 3rd escape attempt!

Every now and then a kitten has escaped from its room. They are confined so I would put the kitten back and wonder if somehow they were climbing over the board to get out. A couple of days ago I was cooking supper, and the black and white kitten wandered into the kitchen as if to say, "I'm ready for supper". How did she do that? I put her back and she immediately did a demonstration of how she pulled it off. I had to grab my camera and set her up to do it again. She obliged me for the camera.

Studio shot of Stacia at the Lighting Essentials Workshop given by Don Giannatti in Detroit, October 4-5. You know she is a high glam crook as she tries to make her escape wearing pearls and pumps.
Strobist: Small umbrella camera left, far enough away to throw a hard shadow behind her. There is also a small umbrella camera right slightly behind her providing rim light; it is flagged to prevent spill onto the (ugly) background.
PP in Lightroom; skin softening and a heavy vignette to add to the spotlight effect.
Yes, the background is cheesy. I deny all involvement in its selection.

Whoa.
I let myself get FIVE days behind on my 365.
The good news is: now it's catch up time. :)
The 40,171 tonne Thomson Cruises 'MS Island Escape' cruise ship departing the Italian port of Civitavecchia on September 13th 2014.
The MS Island Escape was built in 1982 as the cruise ferry MS Scandinavia. At the time of construction the Scandinavia was the largest cruise ferry ever built.
Note the Radome on the top left of the ship. In a past life I used to manufacture some of the innards of similar looking Marconi Marine Radomes but that's another story.. ;-)

Excellent photograph of a very large ship by my regular photostream contributor David on his travels and is posted here with very kind permission.

"Nun will die Sonn' so hell aufgeh'n"
Nun will die Sonn' so hell aufgeh'n
Translation:
"Now the sun wants to rise as brightly"
Now the sun wants to rise as brightly
as if nothing terrible had happened during the night.
The misfortune had happened only to me,
but the sun shines equally on everyone.
You must not enfold the night in you.
You must sink it in eternal light.
A little star went out in my tent!
Greetings to the joyful light of the world.
