Funny story. I'v been looking or a board for a couple of weeks now, but not finding one I was happy with.

At the same time I decided to thin the bike herd from the living room, and posted my Mountain Cycle - San Andreas. So up went the pick to craigs list.

About this same time I fine a 7'4" JC, just down the road. I email back and forth with the owner, making sure the board is available and such. Then I get a hit on the San Andreas. From guess who. Craigslist obscures your identity, so he had no idea he was sending a message to me. The one who wanted his board.

Worked out perfectly in the end;

He got a bike he's wanted for years (its an older San Andreas)

I got a board that should be perfect for the summer

And it was an even trade, i.e...

He didn't have to turn over the $$$ to his wife

I didn't need to beg my wife for the $$$

Perfect ending....

Now, lets all hope for a nice summer depression in the Pacific.

There's a shadow you enter into, that disappears within seconds of crossing its borders. Your eyes adjust, and all that black equalizes back to seeming the same as the rest. Entering in from Clementsvale Road, the old Grand Lake Road starts wide and worthy of any vehicle. Slowly narrowing with a grass strip down the center, then falling into muddy ruts and puddles. It's a slowly spotted gauntlet to run, a mildly menacing embrace of branches, reaching out to grab you. It's getting close, maybe claustrophobic, don't you know but don't ignore it. Wet weather brings what little colour remains alive, those last few beech leaves hanging on, orange sparks in the grey branches. All the way down to the spillway, where water drains from a flooded lake. Low line exposing long dead trucks, marking their deaths, concrete cairn and your dam sure. I intend to make it to the end, good enough reason to keep going. Keep showing up at the places where roads run out and tall tales get cut short in the forest. I'm a tired hiker, always been one, spreading low level energy just thin enough for the distance. Calming down that writhing restlessness, make me mellow. Breathing deep the forest vapour – fill my lungs, get low.

At Brewery Ommegang, a 35,000-gallon equalizer receives waste from the beer-making process and feeds into a 150,000 gallon aeration basin in Cooperstown, N.Y., on May 21, 2015. In the aeration basin, microorganisms break down organics to remove nutrients like nitrogen and phosphorus before water is discharged from the plant. “We consider wastewater the front of the train at the building. Without wastewater we can’t do anything. We can’t brew; we can’t package,” said Joe Poliseno, brewing manager at Brewery Ommegang. (Photo by Will Parson/Chesapeake Bay Program)

After shootouts Meveščak wins a point against Austrian Linz...

Medveščak had a lead 3:1 after the first period, with goals from Morley (11', 13') and Netik (19'), while Brod (16') scored for guests. Linz equalized through Lebler (25') and Locke (28'). Zagreb players scored for the lead again through Olden (38'), but only a minute before the end of the second period Lukas equalized again. The third period and overtime went with no goals, and in shootout the Linz goalkeeper Ouzas excelled and defended all three shots from Medveščak players, and Leber was the only one to score for the win.

»It's a shame, I am sorry that we missed the win. Everything was on our side, but we obviously still have a problem with powerplay. It started well, but Linz came back quickly and didn't surrender to the end«, commented Sašo Rajsar, and added: »We don't have much time until the next game. We must do the work to get even better and revenge to Villach for the away loss from the season start, in front of our supporters.«

The Bears hold the 9th position with 12 points, and their next game is already on Tuesday, in Zagreb, vs. Villach (7.15 p.m.)
