If I hear another person refer to MARRIAGE EQUALITY as as "only" GAY MARRIAGE I'm going to explode!
What about trans and intersex people? Just adding same-sex marriage to the franchise isn't making marriage equality. If (like the New York amendment of 2011) it only adds same-sex marriage, instead of making marriage between TWO ADULTS (regardless of gender) then it leaves trans and intersex out.
Why, because that means that a trans woman would have to marry as a MAN, and a trans man would have to marry as a WOMAN, because most places DON'T recognise a change of gender!
