I created this piece during my most recent project, 'Equality and Diversity'. This piece is included as one of three of my sculptures, each formed of different hands and sizes. Created from plaster, gold leaf, and steel bars.
This ‘Equality’ themed CreativeMornings/SP event was generously hosted by NOVA 535 with special support from Roundhouse Creative.
Shannon Lipan poured her heart out as our speaker.
The event was fueled by NOVA 535 and Ray’s Vegan Soul.

Racism is clear and evident in our society. Many steps are going to have to be taken to create equality in our society. The hardest thing for our society to do will be to look at everyone else and believe that they are no better or worse than you.

By far the one the most remarkable and inspiring days of my life. Changed how I thought and saw so many things.
Thousands and thousands of people marching together for one cause we all believe in chanting and just wanting to be with one another, such an unreal feeling that I dont even know If I could put into words. Not only the march but the rally was incredible getting to hear such powerful and moving speeches that made you scream and clap out of pride and agreement was a something I had never felt. Being there that day made me know I could have a part of change, never actually believed in that till the rally.
I just so thankful for Broadway Impact for giving me this day I will always remember.
