Over 300 bowlers, comprised of students, staff and friends of Equality Charter School came out to support the “1st Annual Bowl of Equality” event on March 4, 2012 at Bowlmor Lanes in Union Square. The fun-filled event which featured bowling, a raffle and more, helped raise more than $8,000 for the students of Equality Charter School, far exceeding the initial fundraising goal.

diversità e disuguaglianza di genere (web.uniroma1.it/labminerva/en). E’ tra le fondatrici della
rivista online inGenere.it e dirige la International Review of Sociology. Marcella collabora da molti anni con
la Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini ed è stata consulente del Parlamento europeo, della Commissione Europea
e dell’OCSE su temi che riguardano la parità di genere e l’inclusione sociale. E’ attualmente impegnata nella
conduzione per l’Italia del progetto di ricerca VIRAGE, finanziato dalla DG Occupazione, affari sociali e
inclusione della Commissione europea e coordinato dal Centro per gli studi politici europei (CEPS) di
Bruxelles.

These are quilt blocks specifically made for John Adams (aka "Quilt Dad"). It is from a great pattern by Jennifer Ofenstein (sewhooked.com), and was my first attempt at paper piecing. This was my first ever block (on the left), and then I improved it (with better fussy cutting) to make the one on the right.
The International Migrants Day Symposium (December 17–18, 2024) in Bangkok addressed key migration challenges. UN Women participated through the EU-funded PROTECT Project, implemented with ILO, UNICEF, and UNODC, to advance solutions for women migrant workers and children at risk.
PROTECT’s contributions included keynote interventions by the European Union and UN Women, and an expert panel discussion highlighting coordinated responses to gender-based violence (GBV) and strategies to strengthen protection and support systems for migrant women and girls.

Can't Stop The Serenity is a global series of screenings of the film 'Serenity,' held to raise money and awareness for Equality Now, an international women's rights advocacy group. Can't Stop The Serenity events are held on (or around) June 23, which is writer / director Joss Whedon's birthday, through the ‘Serenity’ Release Anniversary, September 30.
