September 2, 2022 - Epic Sunset at Lion's Lighthouse at Shoreline Village in Long Beach, CA at 7:19 PM! What a beautiful start to the month of September!
I love coming back to this place. I pretty much learned to use a camera at this marina. So many failed attempts. so many epic sunsets blown due to lack of knowledge and skill.
I feel like I'm finally getting past all that. On to the next one.
February 21, 2023 - Epic Sunset at a Cow Ranch in the Le Grand area near Madera, CA area along Highway 99, on my way Home from Yosemite National Park! It was very windy here!
I was getting all set up for what appeared to be an epic sunset when all of the sudden the sun popped through the clouds and the trees and I quickly adjusted my setting to capture this amazing sunstar.
Just another windy night at the park....
I like this view better in the summer. But I don't mind a cool night in the summer... as long as the sky looks like this, haha cheers!
March 31, 2020 - Here is tonight's epic cloudy sunset, as seen and photographed from my Home in Long Beach, CA. I saw this one coming, but I had no choice but to photograph this sunset from home, due to the "Safer at Home" ordinance in California due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic going on now. It was a frustrating experience to not be able to photograph this lovely sight from one of my favorite sunset spots, but I have to be a law abiding Citizen. We don't want anyone to get sick. Good night and sweet dreams, everyone!
October 31, 2020 - Epic Cloudy Sunset at Ralphs in Long Beach, CA for Halloween Night! What an amazing sunset!
Real Alpenglow on Mont Blanc.
After the sun diseapered behind the horison the mountains turned purple for a while showing this epic light.
Its hard to believe that on this picture, the mountains are not directly enlightened by the sun. The explication comes from a well known optical phenomenon.
The beautiful colorful light of an alpenglow is caused by the reflection of the light into water or ice particles that are low in the atmosphere. This is the biggest defining difference between an alpenglow and a regular sunrise or sunset.

August 1, 2022 - The Wedge in Newport Beach, CA at Sunset Time. This was my very first time visiting here and it was an Epic Sunset and awesome experience!
I was with my regular photography buddy debating whether to make a trip down to Gardens By The Bay for a sunset shoot or to go drone-shopping.
The gloomy and drizzling weather certainly did not support our final decision to head for a sunset shot, but our instinct guided us to this location.
We were duly rewarded with a epic, in our own sense, sunset. The burst of orange and blue in the sky was unbelievable, and reminded us once again of the beauty and unpredictability of Mother Nature.
This would likely be my last shoot of year 2015, and I'm glad I ended it with a bang.

December 29, 2019 - Here is tonight's Epic Sunset from Signal Hill-Hilltop Park! Tonight after Church while I was shopping with my Parents at Trader Joe's, I noticed the patchy clouds in the sky, and knew that these would potentially create an epic sunset. Since Signal Hill-Hilltop Park is one of the best sunset viewing spots and closest to home for me, I decided to visit here for a last minute photo shoot of the epic sunset. Thank God I was correct about tonight's sunset, because it looked so colorful, epic, and breathtaking!

The last shot that I took of sunset on Saturday evening. I decided to get down in the 'thick of it'. And tried to time my shot in between swells. I was lucky enough to get a good lull in the sets with only a few 'small' waves coming in.
This place is by far one of my favourite places on the coast. Always fun to go to!
