During our Environment Unit we tested the water tolerance of 4 different types of plant seeds - barley, radish, corn and pea.

We planted 3 seeds of each plant into 4 containers. Everything was kept the same except we add different amounts of water to each container. One container had no water, and contained dry soil, one container we added moist soil but no water. We added 40mls of water to one container and 80mls of water to the last container. We also had one class container labeled swamp - it had 120ml of water added to it. All containers were sealed in zip-lock bags.

Interview Judging is an opportunity for 4-H members to talk to judges about their static exhibits and share what was easy, what was challenging. 4-H’ers also learn what the judge looks for and how to improve skills.

Philadelphia

Development in Philly is out of control, worsening conditions for working class people & the environment. Hundreds of community activists took to the streets to set the tone for Philly's 2023 election: anyone running for mayor or city council better have policy solutions for ensuring long-term, working class residents have a place in this city and that Philly is truly tackling and prepared for the climate crisis.

The march was organized by community groups fighting for land justice across our city, including Philly Thrive, Sunrise Movement, VietLead, Save UCTownhomes, Save the Meadows, Cobbs Creek EJ, and more!

To mark ‎World Environment Day, the British High Commission New Delhi hosted a Chevening alumni conference on ‘Environment and Sustainability’, Friday 3 June 2016. The Chevening Alumni India Association was also launched at the event. Follow us on Twitter @UKinIndia.

I recently founded this not-for-profit organization to help spread the word about the environment. Team Green’s purpose is to educate, enlighten and inspire people to make the everyday choices to create a greener planet. Using compelling nature photography and informational graphics Team Green will communicate the important environmental issues of the day and suggest ways for people to contribute to the health of the planet. When a few minutes before 3:00pm, our driver, Joseph, who had said little since we left Dakar, drove us into Saint Louis, not far from the border with Mauritania, I felt my anxiety rise. The Fulani man, wearing a gold earring with a short-sleeved shirt and brown slacks, navigated his Peugeot...
