Just yesterday, our “Year of the OKs” entry to the Swatch: My Bullish Art Contest won First Place amidst hundreds of very tough competitors from all over the country. It is a day to be proud, but I absolutely feel otherwise…. I rather feel humbled by the way the Lord uses our talents for a greater cause. A nice no entry sign which caught my eye along with the perspective of the cobbeled road. Taken in Leeds. Look at the man running too yyaaaay! Edited in Photoshop to acheive the vigennetting and lomo effect.

This is my first entry for the Colossal Castle Contest XVI for the Micro Medieval Mountain category! I usually build sci-fi MOCs, but this contest was good for getting me to build something more medieval/fantasy.
Basically, the kingdom is an idyllic paradise, which is self-sustaining on fishing and water vegetables. Although not clear in the first picture, there is a tunnel entrance at the lower village which leads up through the mountain to the castle at the top!
Advice and constructive critiques are welcome!

This was my favourite entry in the carnival but that's not the only reason it features in most of my photos. There weren't many floats this year, lighting conditions were tricky and some of the other pictures just didn't come out so well.

This is the top half of the original entry hall of the flughafen . After the war a ceiling was built halfway dividing the space into two rooms of equal height, under the floor here is the present entrance hall
Such a lazy entry for this week's 1:1:1 on sports photography. I had planned to get over to Aberystwyth for the triathlon, but opted for a Sunday lie in instead. Then we went to Coed y Brenin and I thought I might get a shot of someone mountain biking, but I was full of roast dinner. Instead, here we have a close up of the Mr's bike tyre and I kinda wish I had opted for a slightly narrower aperture so the front of it was in focus too, but I didn't and I'm still full of roast dinner so I'm not taking it again.
The Church of St Ann, which stands at the head of St Ann’s Square is a Grade I listed building (Historic England List entry Number: 1247612 historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1247612 ). The church was built as part of early eighteenth century development of the large cornfield named Acres Field which is now St Ann’s Square. Acres field had been the site of an annual fair which was held from the 13th century until 1823 when it was moved to Knott Mill. An impressive, neo-classical building consecrated in 1712, St Ann’s is the second oldest church in Manchester. John Wesley preached here in 1733 and 1738.
The entry to Cavedale, Castleton, Peak District, Derbyshire.
Cavedale is a dry limestone valley in the Derbyshire Peak District, England. The northern end of the dale starts at the village of Castleton where the valley sides are almost perpendicular and over 50 metres in height. The dale rises gently after leaving Castleton for approximately 200 metres before becoming steeper culminating in a fine viewpoint down the dale taking in Peveril Castle with Lose Hill behind. After the viewpoint the dale swings west and levels out with gentle gradients, becoming just a shallow depression as it peters out onto the open pastureland between Castleton and Chapel-en-le-Frith. Cavedale was initially formed by glacial meltwater carving a deep narrow valley in the local soluble limestone. The river then found a route underground leaving a dry valley with caverns underneath. Later on the caverns below Cavedale collapsed making the valley even deeper and gorge-like at the northern end. The Castleton entrance to Cavedale had a narrow natural arch as recently as 200 years ago, a relic of the roof collapse. The lower slopes of the dale have large amounts of scree; frost on the higher limestone cliffs having caused the rock to shatter.
