For the sixth consecutive year, engineers and staff from Pima County’s Transportation Department will teach kids how to make asphalt cookies during the “Discovering Engineering at the Mall” event on Saturday, Feb. 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event, held at Foothills Mall, 7401 N. La Cholla Blvd., brings together engineers from across the region to increase awareness and appreciation for the profession as part of Engineers Week, Feb. 21-27.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District held a public meeting information meeting regarding the Interim Waste Containment Structure Remedial Alternatives Technologies Development and Screening Technical Memorandum, June 5, 2013.
This is the fourth in a series of technical memoranda (TM) released during the development of the Feasibility Study (FS) Report for the Niagara Falls Storage Site (NFSS) Interim Waste Containment Structure (IWCS) Operable Unit. This TM was prepared as part of the Corps’ environmental response project conducted under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program.
U.S. Army Reserve combat engineer Soldiers from the 374th Engineer Company (Sapper), headquartered in Concord, Calif., performed a helicopter casting into Lopez Lake, Calif., during a two-week field exercise known as a Sapper Leader Course Prerequisite Training at Camp San Luis Obispo Military Installation, Calif.
