The Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering holds its 2017 All-College Meeting. November 14, 2017

With an Engineering heritage going back over a century and over a third of its interior space given over to Engineering facilities, a lot of employers simply refer to Hartlepool College of Further Education as “the Engineering College”.

SMU engineering students built this scaled-down unmanned autonomous helicopter as proof-of-concept for fighting forest fires. Watch Pegasus 1 in action at dai.ly/UZLWmu.

The Innovation Gym in the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering enables SMU students to hone their engineering and creative skills by working on real world, design challenges, such as Pegasus 1.

Companies, researchers and non-profits all provide real challenges for the students to develop innovation solutions, often under intense time and financial pressure.

It's 17:30, and I'm inside the world's tallest building, Taipei 101. It's a beautiful, skyscraping edifice from which I've taken some awesome shots. I also wrote a postcard to my mom; Calvin is still finishing his postcard to his family.

AMG Engineering is a civil engineering company founded in 1980 which needed a modern visual identity. The project started by creating a logo which reflects the geometric feeling of the company’s work, creating a clean and strong mark that sticks out from the competition. Additional stability and regal appearance was given with the three squares in the center, wich also reveals the three main colours on which the brand relys on for the whole brand campaign. The minimal typeface reveals the real brand essence, making the logo look geometrical and modern. The project ended by giving the client basic branding guidelines.

Constructed between 1934-37 on the site of the original "Main building" on campus. It stands 307 feet tall and was designed by Paul Phillippe Cret. On August 1, 1966, Charles Joseph Whitman, a architectural engineering student, barricaded himself on the observation deck and using a rifle, killed 14 people and wounded many more.
