I used a Darice embossing folder, and embossed the words with a copper colored powder by Hampton Arts. The owl stamp is a Craft Smart stamp from Michaels that I colored with pearlescent watercolors. Edges are colored with Tim Holtz distress ink in frayed burlap.

emboss paper using embossing machine - paint with pearl or metallic paint

Kids' birthday party. Big round tarp thingie (yes a parachute; thanks oldmandigital!). Kids clamber around on top and underneath while circle of kids hold edges and flail about, creating wild ocean wave effects (if you're on acid). I forgot there was a kid in there and snapped the colors, then used the embossing tool on my pathetic Microsoft Photo Editor. There you have it. The most sophisticated photography and post processing tools imaginable.

I made this card for PTI weekly challenge nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2011/04/make-.... It was my first time to emboss with dies and I made the sandwich little different, so only the outlines of the flowers were embossed.

A little different take, this time a bit more cheery. Again I embossed the grass with Jade EP. Then I thought this one just asked to have a sky and sun. Of course I had to add a glittery butterfly rubon!
