The Embossed Stone (Perlidae: Paragnetina media) was found on the Casselman River, Garrett County, Maryland.
Life's very hectic, I'm minimally flickring at the moment - apologies if I'm more antisocial than normal.
Half term at art school, so Vik set it up so I could go down to her work and use the embossing press. Loved it - ran lots of things through it - very happy.

2009-04-26 sun -- Embossed concrete design (north view) - old Mississippi Valley Corp - Bailey Avenue - Jackson MS
First I inked up a plexiglass plate with assorted blue and green shades of oil-based inks. On top of the plate I placed a swatch of loosely knit cotton fabric and ran it through the press with a piece of damp white Rives BFK paper. You can see the fabric embossed the paper where it blocked the ink.

I bought an embossing stamp a few years ago and started embossing the first page inside each book I own.
I hope someday, whomever has these books after me puts their own name inside. I hope they wonder who I am just as I sit here and wonder who they are.
I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss a piece of copper, then heated it to change the color. Paper is by Graphic 45

This cupcake has an embossed design and is decorated with small pink blossoms. All decorations are edible. The cupcake is chocolate mud with a milk chocolate ganache.
