As we remember, the little girl Alice finds herself in an amazing and fabulous world of wonders, following the White Rabbit, who was constantly looking at his watch and was late for something. The phrase "Follow the White Rabbit" has become a set phraseological unit. The White Rabbit from the famous fairy tale by Lewis Carroll is represented on the catwalk today by AngelInkaNega. AngelInka is wearing cute white SPIRIT shorts, coquettishly lifted up on the hip, an openwork white top ADN, a bolero with a bow embossed with a floral pattern and gold trim, and a top hat with ears from irrISIStible. Her image with mechanical steampunk elements from irrISIStible would delight and intrigue not only Alice.

British embossed spoon " Berlin " , silver-plated brass , 18.5 cm

POW art ?

There were two POW camps in the vicinity of Berlin; Döberitz and Dyrotz. The camp hospital was in the Alexandrinestrasse in Berlin. Among the first prisoners of Döberitz were men of the British Royal Naval Division taken POW after the siege of Antwerp in 1914.

The spoon has trademark/maker's mark ' The Potosi Silver Co of Birmingham ' ; this firm made silverware under this name from 1878 to 1910.

Potosi is a silver mining city in Bolivia.

Design on a closure for a tankard holder I often wear to Ren Faires - I love the green leather, and the tree design!

Taken with a Canon 35mm f/2 lens and then enhanced using the Photoshop emboss filter.

2007 aluminum foil from letter monoprints with ink and embossed impressions of stencils. really hard to photograph this shiny material. The ink helps alot. But even though this was an accidental byproduct I feel it qualifies as an extra print.

lettering created by cutting out stencils with bristol board and exacto knife. my own version of Claude Garamond's 1541 Oldstyle letterforms to create a workable stencil. (I was a bit obsessed with this typeface youll find it alot in my work)

printed on top of a plexiglass plate run through a tightened intaglio press. this created the background textures seen on the paper prints.

This pony was made with Quick Cutz Metal Sheet Embossing--a wonderful product. I received this fanciful pony in my Faithful Horse swap at the recent Paper Cowgirl Art Retreat, held in Waxahachie, TX.

Just sharing a quick card I made for a friend. Not for a challenge; just for fun.

Background is green cardstock. I stamped Hero Arts CG119 Flourish Background on top, using VersaFine Vintage Sepia pigment ink. When the ink was dry, I added highlights using a cream colored pencil.

The panel at the bottom is made using chocolate brown cardstock. I stamped Hero Arts H5261 Flourish Trio using VersaMark watermark ink. Then I heat embossed it using Ranger verdigris embossing powder with my Heat It craft tool (heat gun).

The "thanks for being my friend" sentiment is from Hero Arts CL377 Be Happy. It was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Ranger seafoam white embossing powder.

The butterfly is from Hero Arts CL383 Antique Engravings. It was stamped using Ranger Archival Ink, which is waterproof. Then it was colored by applying Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks with Tsukineko sponge daubers.

I used a Uni Ball Signo opaque white pen to add details, and then a Sakura Stardust clear glitter gel pen to add a bit of shine. The butterfly is adhered using foam squares for dimension.

Thanks for looking! :-)

I'm finally getting to cleaning off my craft room desk. It's about time! :-) Yesterday, I did a lot up there. Here's another example of embossed cardstock.

Embossed armour represents the pinnacle of the metalworker's art in armour. Unfortunately, the decoration significantly weakens the armour's defensive properties - both by thinning the metal and by providing edges that an attacking weapon could catch on, rather than glancing off. To borrow a quotation from a much later period, "C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre." [It is magnificent, but it is not war.]

The Berggruen Museum (also known as the Berggruen Collection) is a collection of modern art classics in Berlin, which the collector and dealer Heinz Berggruen, in a "gesture of reconciliation", gave to his native city for a price well below its actual value. The most notable artists on display include Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Georges Braque, Paul Klee and Henri Matisse. The Berggruen Collection is part of the National Gallery of Berlin.

The Bröhan Museum is a museum of art and design in Berlin. It is devoted to Art Nouveau, Art Deco and functionalism, and occupies a late-classicist former barracks in Charlottenburg, opposite Charlottenburg Palace. The museum is organised into "room ensembles", each containing examples of art, design and furniture from a particular phase in late-19th/early-20th century art history. Glassware, metalware and ceramics are displayed alongside paintings, in rooms furnished and decorated accordingly.] The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on related themes. Many major figures from the history of decorative art and furniture-making are represented, including Friedrich Adler, Peter Behrens, Emile Gallé, Josef Hoffmann, Georg Jensen, Archibald Knox, Bruno Paul, and Henry van de Velde. The painting collection is focused on the Berlin Secession, and includes Hans Baluschek, Walter Leistikow, Lesser Ury and Karl Hagemeister. The museum's founder, Karl H. Bröhan, donated his collection to the city of Berlin in 1981. It had already been on display in Dahlem since 1973, before moving into its current location in 1983.

I needed some more thank you cards in my stash and quickly made this card using SSS stamps and dies. Used bright spring blossom colours so will add this to the current Flickr Challenge. Blogged here

I white embossed an image from Kaiser Kraft and coloured over it with Memento Inks. I placed these behind diecut heart windows and pierced a design along the card edges.

Debby Hughes inked up her stamp and added water. It needs some experimenting with the amount but this time I loved the result!

These are among my favourite American die cuts and are part of a large set I have. There are unusual combinations of animals and unusual design elements in them. There is the howling cat at left with the moon, a black squirrel which one doesn't often see in Halloween but which I love, with an owl and moon at top, a more predictable flying witch with moon at right and fabulously symmetrical two black arched cats in front of an orange moon at front.

Embossed and magnificent.

In Spokane, they used to emboss the street names onto the sidewalk. I don't think they do it anymore, though I wish they would. I especially like the ones that have the old names of the streets on them. Our street, for instance, says "Effie" on the sidewalks, even though it hasn't been called Effie for many years. This is Euclid
