I'm revisiting a favourite technique of white heat embossing on vellum with this card using the Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit - the vellum accent was the perfect accompaniment for the gorgeous Bo Bunny papers 🌸

The text on the spine is set in Malabar. So is the 2010 on the front cover. But the words around that seal are part of the book's "logo," and are not set in Malabar.
The Gutenberg Society seal was drawn by Jost Hochuli.

I found some old tatted lace doilies at an antique store yesterday. Today I printed them with no ink, just getting the embossing on soaked lightweight Rives

I saw a silver and blue wreath in a shop magazine that gave me the inspiration for this one. I stamped the Wreath with versamark and silver embossed. then cut out with a scalloped and circle nestie... added the blue ribbon ( then realised it was blue and gold) - Sentiment is by Inkadinkado.

I used two different background stamps and then cut them both in fourths. They were stamped with black and embossed with clear and then colored with an orange watercolor crayon. I used a watercolor brush to spread the orange and then colored over that with Mustard Seed Distress Stain. I love the irregular color of the orange and yellow with those two mediums. The butterfly is a digital one from 2 peas. I love that I can print them out in the size I want, I then colored it with Copic markers. I used one of the sketches for the April contest.
